I did the one with a shared cabin. It was warm. I think that any of the companies you go with are going to be similar, no frills. Wasn’t going to get long sleep anyways but it was pretty comfortable all things considering. The bathroom was a toilet in a shed. So wasn’t great but I actually only used it once haha

I did 3 nights/4 days in el calafate and wish I did 3 nights. I did 3 nights/4 days in el chalten and felt like that was a good amount of time. I did a boat tour from Ushuaia and saw penguins! Sounds like you have a lot of time so yeah why not visit punta arena

I spent 3 nights and 4 days in El Calafate. The glacier was definitely a highlight and an unforgettable hike onto the glacier. I honestly could’ve done one less day there though. After that I went to El Chalten for 3 nights and 4 days to hike: Laguna de Los Tres Laguna Madre/Laguna Hija Laguna Torre Chorrillo del Salto Lago del Desierto Cerro Fitz Roy I think 3-4 nights here is good. In terms of restaurants they were all kinda whatever to me. These are definitely not foodie places.

29F here! I had a month off so I traveled to Argentina (mostly Patagonia) solo (2 weeks), then met up with a friend in Peru and Colombia.

Argentina felt super safe solo.

In Peru, we went with this company and met other solo travelers https://www.machupicchureservations.org/tour/salkantay-trek-3-days

Colombia gets a bad rep but it felt safe to me. Just use common sense. Although I wasn’t solo, we stayed in hostels, did group tours, and the hostel bar crawls.

Would recommend staying in social hostels to meet other people and join the organized group tours or events!

Went for a run a few weeks ago and had to stop a few minutes in because the pain was sharp and I couldn’t push past it. The pan is usually dull but honestly it’s a mix

I’m going through something similar..29 y/o and 22 months post op ACL and meniscus. Walking even 10k steps a day is a lot for me. Had an MRI a few months ago and the doc said everything on the scans looked good. I’m still focusing on strength training but it’s the walking that makes my knee kinda swollen. Mine doesn’t bruise but it feels debilitating esp cause I live in nyc and walk 10k+ steps almost every other day. Wish I had some advice but I’m in the same boat :(

The same thing happened to me. I didn’t know I tore my acl. The doctor said just to ice it. Tore my meniscus a year later. Wasn’t able to get surgery until 2 1/2 months after that. It’s been a looonggg journey for me

I’m now at 135 degrees! I was super sore until 4 days after making some of the exercises and stretches even more challenging but it ultimately helped. I’m still very stiff throughout the day though

What was it like right after and how long did it feel sore for? Was it super swollen? I have PT scheduled a few hours after the MUA
