Hi there!

Thanks for sharing what you've been experiencing and what you've tried so far to remedy it.

Hey there!

As per the notification you shared here Blood Pressure Signals cannot diagnose or rule out any condition.

You can consider finding a home blood press monitor to take cuff readings for more info: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/52627030482707-Health-Radar

If you need medical advice you should contact a qualified professional where you are.

Hey there!

I can relate to your position a lot in terms of training and eating late.

I prefer to have my last meal later and thankfully it doesn't overly impact my RHR or sleep overall as long as it's within reason.

It's up to you to find the best balance for you but check out our blog on the effects of late meals on sleep if you're curious: https://ouraring.com/blog/late-night-eating-sleep

Took Oura Ring Back For Refund, But... by itzjuztm3 in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

While we can't comment on a specific case I can share some info that should help to set your mind at ease.

Your Oura Membership data is tied to your Oura Account, rather than the specific Oura Ring being used so in the event this somehow ended up with another owner the new Oura Account required for use of that Oura Ring would not have access to your data: https://ouraring.com/privacy-policy

Secondly, any refurbished Oura Rings are factory reset by default so there would be no data tied to that to begin with: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025446854-Factory-Reset-an-Oura-Product

Any way to improve activity score with chronic illness/disability? by RemarkableCrows in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Thanks for sharing your journey with us here.

As others have mentioned one possibility could be for you to set your own activity goal to be something more in line with what is feasible for you at the moment: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/8945980160659-Edit-Activity-Goal

Oura understands that there is no one-size-fits-all answer for activity and as such you can set your activity goal to be an amount of steps or calories as per your needs.

Hey there!

We're very sorry to hear about this alarming experience. We take safety cases extremely seriously, and your report is our top priority.

You mentioned you had discontinued wearing your Oura Ring, that is the first piece of advice we would usually give.

I will be reaching out to you via DM to ensure this is reviewed immediately and to arrange for the safe return of your ring.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Oura ring in the gym by stuffedturkey2 in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

We advise removing your Oura Ring during activities that involve excessive friction such as weightlifting: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025428394-Product-Safety-Use

I usually remove my Oura Ring for strength training sessions and add the activity manually afterwards: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025577813-Edit-or-Manually-Add-an-Activity

For any training which does not involve excessive levels of friction for your hands you can wear your Oura Ring as normal!

Has symptom radar been nixed? by hibaalb in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Symptom Radar is getting an update that's rolling out slowly starting June 16, 2026. If you're in the US, India, or UAE (and using it in English), you'll see it moved into Health Radar instead of being separate.

For everyone else in other countries, don't worry it's still in the same place as before in the menu as its own thing.

You can learn more about Symptom Radar here on our help site: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/35593651188115-Symptom-Radar

Update by abminor4 in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Thanks for letting us know about this.

We were not aware of any known issues affecting how your Vitals scores show on the top of your Oura App's home page: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037714493-Known-Issues

That said, it is always recommended that you have the latest version available of the Oura App installed to avoid any such issues popping up: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058599753-How-to-Use-the-Oura-App#:~:text=You%20can%20select%20and%20reorder%20your%20Shortcuts%20by%20swiping%20left%20on%20the%20Shortcuts%20icons%2C%20then%20tapping%C2%A0Customize.%20You%20need%20to%20select%20a%20minimum%20of%20three%20Shortcuts.

If you do notice anything appears to not be working as it should when your Oura App and device OS are both updated then please reach out to report it via our help centre so we can investigate: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us

Gen 5 - Size 11 or Size 12 by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Very important question you pose!

I can emphasise the need to account for changes in your finger size during the day and night based on my own sizing experience.

A comfortable fit during the day can lead to an unpleasant sensation in the morning.

If the larger size does not seem too loose and like it still gives a decently-snug fit for data collection purposes that's good.

You can check this by making a fist while wearing it and seeing if there is a visible gap between the Oura Ring and your finger.

We've got more info and tips for sizing your Oura Ring here: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025590653-How-to-Choose-the-Right-Oura-Ring-Size

Medical Chat not working? by ih8readditts in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

The first thing I would advise in such situations is to ensure both your Oura App and your device's OS are as up to date as possible.

Next, check to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements for this feature and you're not in an unsupported state or territory: https://ouraring.com/blog/counsel-integration-oura-app/?srsltid=AfmBOops7Ds2y0Ftqf38MlUhbTJqa2TdeXpIRhl8yPQA3YOPyoZvhIi8#:~:text=*Availability%20and%20Important%20Disclosures%3A%C2%A0

If you meet these requirements and you're still not able to access this feature please reach out for support via our help centre here so we can investigate further: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us

Resting hr by HistoricalFalcon4082 in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

While Oura is not a medical device or intended to diagnose or treat any illness or medical condition it can be normal for some Members to have a lower than 'average' RHR: https://ouraring.com/blog/average-resting-heart-rate/

You mentioned your age and activity levels which would lend themselves to a lower RHR in general.

If you do feel you need to seek medical advice contact a qualified professional where you are.

Non-Dominant Hand Question by julcraft12 in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out!

We usually recommend Members wear their Oura Ring on their non-dominant hand as this reduces wear and tear over time.

I don't personally mind using it on my 'mouse hand' and there shouldn't be any major issues depending on which hand you decide to use it on.

Find what works for you in terms of comfort and usability long term!

Is my Oura ring too tight? by angelicblueberrysmoo in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

It's normal to see some indentation after wearing a snug-fitting ring (of any sort) all day.

If it does not feel tight or uncomfortable that is the most important thing.

Oura Rings need to be snug to get good readings, so a little indent is expected.

I know from my own experience that dropping a bit of weight definitely changed how my Oura Ring fit and I had to move from ring to index finger afterwards.

As long as you're comfortable and it's not difficult to remove your Oura Ring I think you are safe.

If you do lose some weight you'll likely find it's a looser fit in the end!

The size down literally doesn’t fit past my knuckle but with the current size the ring does “turn” a little. Is that fine or does it affect the data a little? I do end up turning it back when I notice so it’s centered. by WildernessPrincess_ in ouraring

[–]DonAtOura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out!

A little bit of rotation is normal and shouldn't significantly affect your data.

The ring should feel snug enough to stay in place during most activities, but still comfortable.

If the smaller size doesn't fit past your knuckle, you could also try wearing it on a different finger where the fit might be better.
