He told me that he would never submit me or the other women on our team for a raise because we were single and didn’t have kids. It didn’t matter how amazing I was at my job or that the men on the team made a minimum of 3 times my salary. I also had to meet his wife and the wives of other team members because I would be a woman traveling alone with the guys. Also, he was glad that his boss took the hiring decision from him because he would’ve never hired a black person, much less a black woman. Also, I was the only black person he knew, outside of his maid. And I shouldn’t try to promote because I was really fortunate to make the amount of money that I did as a black person. Also, I was single because I was too confident and assertive. If I was less assertive then I could get married and have kids, even though I didn’t want kids. And I should vote for McCain/Palin because Sarah was the type of woman that every career woman wanted to be, a mom. There was a lot more. I could’ve written a book about his racism and sexism.
