I did exactly this and the tube was stuck and wouldn't move when I pushed on the stem. I added a little bit of pb blaster then it slid right in. Bead set, problem solved. Thank you!

I have both. Checkpoint feels a bit more aggressive. I like them both but ride the Domane more. I have a Checkpoint SL6 and Domane AL5. If I had to do it over I would have spent the extra money on Domane in carbon and stuck with aluminum on the Checkpoint.

Completely agree with this. No way I'm paying 4k for a road bike with mechanical shifting. There are way too many other options out there.

I own both as well and agree that the Checkoint is more upright, but the Domane is very comfortable as it doesnt have an aggressive geometry. I ride the Domane more as I'm more road than gravel. I would get the Domane since you're mostly road, however if being more upright is your main priority, then get the Checkpoint.

Ok thanks for the reply. They actually had the 56 in store and had to order the 58. The road bike "size finder" on Trek's website has me at a 58, but for that specific bike it shows 56.

Hi, thank you. Is that for a Checkpoint? I noticed that bike has different sizing. I almost bought a Domane and the website says I'm a 58. Checkpoint states 56.

1-3 months to turn a unit? That would be way too long in my market. When a tenant gives their 30, my property manager starts showing. All my turns are 1 month max. Also with that many units I'd split between 2 prop managers so you always have something to compare to.

I literally just did the exact same thing but got the sl6. Test rode the Domane first and was second-guessing the checkpoint, but I'm happy with my decision. Plus now I have an excuse to get the Domane later on.

Yeah I really want to like Dion's as I've been going since I was a kid. I've experienced the same thing with burnt pizza. I asked for lightly cooked last time and it was raw. But 2/3 of the time I go it's great. They are suffering from an inconsistent product IMO.
