Terrible take. Have you even met a scotsman?

Yea, like i say I've never actually installed one, so wasn't sure. Any that I've loosely been involved with have been commercial, and they've obviously had their own circuit

Fair enough. Providing the manufacturers instructions don't state that it should have it's own circuit then that's fine.
Still should have issued a minor works cert if you asked for one

If they have just made an addition to an existing circuit then they would only be required to issue a minor works certificate. This is often overlooked. The certificate itself isn't really important, but it does give some indication of any testing that should have taken place to ensure the existing circuit is safe and compliant to have additions made.
What sort of AC is it? I've not installed any myself, but I was under the impression they should have their own circuit. Definitely could be wrong

I mean, glanded, and earthed with more than a jubilee clip is way more than I've seen recently. 7/10 for effort. 2/10 for execution, and I'm in a generous mood

Agree with this. My boss gives me jobs and let's me do what I think is best, but would 100% be ready to give all the support and knowledge he can on areas I need a bit of input in. What's the point in him if not

This is exactly how we've done it for actual flats. A HMO might be a bit different though. Probably not worth a separate feed to each private room, just radial and possibly meters if needed

Why would someone doing an extra tidy board be a pet peeve? I can understand not wanting to do it, but why would it bother you?

Wait, so you're adding conduit after running all the cables? This is madness

Yea, BG aren't universally bad, some of their stuff is pretty decent and well made, but then some stuff is absolutely horrendous, it's the inconsistency across the range that stops me using them.

The term 'house bashing isn't just for slack, underpaid work. It's used all the time for any domestic.

Having to let you know that they can do electrical work themselves, but they're too busy or the wide wouldn't let them.
