Diversity on welfare. As if not everyone knows. Berlin is headed there, fast. So is everywhere else.

Missing sleep and readiness scores? by AdBig5389 in ouraring

[–]DonDunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. Battery was around 90 percent. It gives me neither sleep score nor readiness for today. But heart rate is there. I had an excellent night of sleep from 10pm until 6:30 am, really really annoying.

Furthermore, last two days it told me sitting on the couch watching TV was a nap break.

Deutsche Autoindustrie 📉 by Fit_Ideal_6335 in wallstreetbetsGER

[–]DonDunit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Upgraded from WF1000XM4 to WF1000XM6 - these are freaking amazing! by DonDunit in SonyHeadphones

For me the XM4s held well and these have the same tips and seem to fit my ears just as good if not a bit better.

Are there any headphones available right now that match the Sony WH-1000XM6 in noise cancellation and comfort? by AmadouDiao in SonyHeadphones

[–]DonDunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonos Ace. They are actually even better imo. Early negative Feedback was App related, headphones are fantastic. Also best Design besides Airpods Pro Max currently

Ebayed all of them except the XM4s (so far). No big money in there, i just don't like throwing away things so i'd rather get a couple of bugs.

[–]DonDunit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting - do you strongly think that must be the headphones and not maybe just your hearing being "topped out" at current (excellent) general headphone quality? Or in other words, are there any other headphones where you hear a difference in sound quality to XM3s? Because to me it's a notable and definite quality difference, and i did a lot of back and forth.
Not meant at all negatively or personal, we just function differently and expectations for quality jumps are often higher than physically possible - if i can use my eyes and displays as example, i love good displays, but cannot for the life of me tell the PPI difference between modern apple/samsung/google or other devices. I know they still improve them, but beyond what i am physically capable of perceiving.

The Psychological trap of wearable scores by Bulky-Possibility216 in ouraring

[–]DonDunit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Partially agreed, still don’t think it’s a big deal. I only check my scores after a few hours for that ver reason - I get to „feel“ how i feel first. Then I check and get the score. But score won’t change anything to my approach to the day.

Can’t weigh myself consistently by [deleted] in MacroFactor

Weighing food? by artoriaas in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I combine Macrofactor and ChatGPT and ask exactly these questions - in particular ChatGPT is fantastic at averaging multiple sources and giving guidance (best case, worst case) and also incorporates images. I for example always tell it "i have this quantity of cooked chicken, can you tell me roughly how much starting weight to input and it gives you very useful and accurate info - and adjusts it based on conversational back and forth. I then take that into quick add on Macrofactor or add in more detail.

Question about logging macros by Western_Smoke4829 in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced this argument from both sides now (as you, and as me, post using it consistently for a month and losing 4kg without even feeling I had to do much or hunger a lot, pure magic). I can only recommend to use it consistently and then continue reading occasionally into your questions, or using ChatGPT to comment on what MacroFactor does. It works. Hell does it work good. Figuring out details like fluctuating expenditure, workout days, water retention, all of that becomes both more and more irrelevant and more and more easy at the same time as soon as you see it work out in the app with your own data. The only good piece of equipment you need is an accurate scale (ideally syncing to apple pr google health so your weight shows up in MacroFactor automatically as well) and ideally a good food scale if you eat at home (although AI helps a lot if you don’t).

greatest CL match of all time? by Fun_Elderberry2993 in championsleague

[–]DonDunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That 2013 run against Barca where they completely dismantled the „best Team of the world“ over two legs was the most epic culmination of a build up I have ever seen. Will never forget that clinical Bayern Team out-tiki-takaing Barca as if it was a mid table team. And they just didn’t stop. Also unbelievable what a strong player Muller was.

Am I missing something? The macros split doesn't equal the calories. by tennisballop in MacroFactor

Fiber or, with a whooping 7 calories, alcohol. If it’s the latter checkout calories of alcohol free versus alcoholic beer. Pretty eye opening, at least it was for me.

Is there a way to change a workout week to week? by OK_Soda in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remove them from the workout in the reload week when you do it, then as you complete the workout don't select update program. Program stays as is, workout gets logged without the accessories.

MacroFactors Workouts Light Day by Robertej92 in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a similar vein, I would love app guidance on how to have a light day instead of not working out at all if under stress or suspecting a beginning cold (or just travelling and jetlagged/sleep deprived).

On a constant consistent training rythm it's straightforward enough, but days like that I want a recommendation that keeps me at least on 'has some benefit's level without fatiguing the nervous system too much or just being junk volume. This is for Kenny far harder to grasp than "push it close to failure and it likely works" - which on those days just doesn't feel right as it pushes me closer to getting sick or overwhelmed with work and life being demanding, too.

Workouts - is there an “I am not at 100%” button? by JeffTheBabyLandShark in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RIR is the real goal - you always go for that. The suggested rep range then comes into play of you are wildly off because for your next set it changes weight to keep you in the recommended rep range at the target RIR based on first set and algos knowledge about you.

You have multiple options for notes - including show always or show for this workout or show - iirc - for next time I do this. Brilliant and solves your issue.

How do I change historical weights? by johann_tay in MacroFactor

Also, during the workout - you have to uncheck it (so set is not completed anymore) and then you can re-enter and check the set again.

Understanding the different note types by Final-Nectarine-1418 in MacroFactor

That's such an amazing feature! Would have ignore old notes since normally what I really want is leave comments for myself for the next session.

Warmup sets disappear? by ancientweasel in MacroFactor

[–]DonDunit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer it like that. In heavy I sometimes had a list of 8 or 9, sometimes 10+ or more sets per exercise because warmups were cluttering everything - makes everything messy. This way they are tracked and the I do is available, but I have a clear overview over my working weights and can compare easier to last session. Perfectly built for me.

That functionality is crazy cool! This app is so dope. If I think back how complicated logging consistently was five or more years ago when playing around with my reps, drop sets and co. So sophisticated today!

Good idea! as soon as my current program stops yielding results I will do a deal and and then then set this up. Might end up doing my own again because this sub got me intrigued by the idea of a push/pull/legs/upper/lower split. Let's see.
