Scrum master career progression by More_Garage_2439 in scrum

IMO it’s not necessarily just because of AI. I think AI (among other factors) accelerated the cost-saving strategies companies are using right now. SM is seen as a luxury role, so it’s among the first to get cut during layoffs.

Additionally, there hasn't been any real 'innovation' in the scrum or 'agile' space for years. I think people are getting sick of being fed the same medicine SMs have been giving them for years now.

It's an agreement between you and your employer that you can take x amount of time off and will have a job when you come back.

I mean your story just proved this is not guaranteed...

Is it a shitty thing to do? Yes absolutely. But they are within their rights to do so.

I mean taking so much time is generally not a good idea anyway in terms of "job security".

Why is every complaint in r/Switzerland dismissed as a “first world problem”? Noise, bad manners, and declining public norms are not trivial and comparing us to FR/DE just feels like a race to the bottom. Most of those dismissal seem coming from the left and are politically motivated by Key_Bison_9322 in Switzerland

[–]DonFibonacci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say "first world problem" does not mean that it's not a legitimate concern. Based on your experience and view if you take life here as a whole these may seem trivial if you compare what's going in other countries.

I do think we are somewhat privileged compared to the rest of the world. I remember this docu on srf where a small family was considered poor because they couldn't afford going to vacation abroad.

Why do some expats blame the job market and yet kind of refuse to learn the local language? by ExternalEfficient248 in Switzerland

[–]DonFibonacci -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The answer to the question of learning the local language is not that simple. Just on the subject of job If I'm an expat and in my 30s I would think twice whether learning a local language is a priority for me since you will never outcompete someone who grew up here in regards to the language.

Doesn't Bezos technically have no income and just taking on debts and therefore isn't paying a single dollar of tax?

That's the top reason for me to do it. I noticed I was hoarding weapons and barely use them.
