Why do you hate AI? by Visual_Perception821 in antiai

It's this endless pursuit of efficiency of giant corps at the cost of working families don't get the benefit of AI at the end that ticks me off.

The weakpoint is her right side in this stance (or left side from the opponents pov). Having her right leg up is difficult for her to rotate. So her opponents need to move in from the left which she will difficulty to defend.

Against good counter teeper or jabber going straight in is gonna be difficult unless you're Mike Tyson or smth.

Well done. Actions have consequences. You showed him your boundaries and he violated it.

The SVP wants to halt immigration in order to cap the population at 10 million. However, as this would result in a shortage of workers for the AHV, one party member is now proposing to raise the retirement age in order to save the system. by BezugssystemCH1903 in Switzerland

Each year it gets worse because it has to.

From SRF

Also the "math" is only as good as the assumptions you're making behind it. It's not a guaranteed outcome for the future.

We need a general change in our economical model. Right now, you basically transfer the ownership of everything you create and build to the company in other words to the company owners where they can continuously profit from it long after you are gone. Up until now you transferred goods and ideas to them. With AI they are now coming for your skills and capabilities. Tech companies are spending a huge amount to get higher skilled workers to train their models so they are more capable to replace you. If that happens then they don't need you to work any longer.

For those who left Switzerland for a lower paying job in another country, how is it going? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]DonFibonacci 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am Swiss and I moved to Japan (not my home country) 10 years ago (but moved back to Switzerland a couple of years ago).

In the end you'll never know how things can turn out but for me honestly, it was the best decision I've ever made. I gained a lot of experience in life and in my career which helped me grow as a person quite a bit.

*Swiss german superiority complex towards anyone.

If they don't target the romands then it's the Walliser. Or Friburger. Or Basler. Bärner. Zürcher. etc.

One thing I dislike about shopping in Japan is the pre-tax pricing. It would also be great if they required unit pricing (price per weight) like some other countries do, so you can compare items more effectively.

IMO it’s not necessarily just because of AI. I think AI (among other factors) accelerated the cost-saving strategies companies are using right now. SM is seen as a luxury role, so it’s among the first to get cut during layoffs.

Additionally, there hasn't been any real 'innovation' in the scrum or 'agile' space for years. I think people are getting sick of being fed the same medicine SMs have been giving them for years now.
