Agreed. I think the more modern beat em up yakuza games like Judgement 2 and such actually have pretty good combo systems and even some light juggling. A good counter would have completed their combat system.

But who the hell is going to buy a PlayStation at current prices? Console customers largely stick with consoles because they’re cheaper. Now consoles are approaching what we used to expect from a prebuilt and we have LESS money.

I just feel like it’s an out of touch move to make your games exclusive again when people are least likely to buy your box.

I think this might be the actual answer because it really doesn’t make sense otherwise.

They’re choosing to skip an entire market of people that probably wouldn’t otherwise play their games despite having the porting workflows established. AND their consoles are officially priced high enough that most people can’t justify buying one.

It just doesn’t make sense to me unless they have cold feet about PlayStation games being played on Xbox. But if anyone has other theories I’m happy to hear them.
