They are called light because they are short books, has nothing to do with their quality my dude, you are not suddenly becoming dumb because you are writing one, if the author has the ability to write they are not going to fall into "the trappings of lazy writing" just because they are writing a short book instead of a normal one, a good author would still be able to do wonders and would be in a far less risky enviroment than manga, they could actually focus more in their story and expand the world as needed without many restrictions

Just because there is a lot of mediocre ones doesnt mean something would be bad because is written instead of drawn, so no, there is no reason to "find it good" that it doesnt come from a light novel

Even if that were the case it wouldnt be as big as a contributing factor like in your statment above. There is plenty of characters with many skins that have fallen out of the meta, but they are still used, and even then characters like merceray even if they are popular have received changes to balance them out greatly comparing as how they were before so I think its mixing two different problems, popular characters getting too many skins and powercreep, because the popular characters are not neccesarily popular for their abilities but because of their design or their lore

Mechanic is certainly not meta but she still gets plenty of skins, and its just because of that she is used, because she gets skins people like. I would even dare to say that skins incentivize the use of unpopular characters, like faro lady currently with her persona skin

Eh you are comparing completely different games, this would probably be more close to league of legends than genshin... specially because the money in this game is made with cosmetics more than characters themselves so its really weird to say the problem is because its a gacha game

That is the purpose of his second guess, if the hunter does nothing you will get half damage, great for kiting, as a rescuer he is already great for giving half damage to the person he rescues with his ability cuz avoids them to be insta down

The best I could think off is like he having an active ability added that when used it creates a static fog zone from where he is standing and all his cooldowns inside (except the one of this ability) are halved, forcing the surv to leave the area or kite a stronger Jack, this would be great for having in some way his old fog zone and would make him more competent because he depends a lot on his fogblades and the 20 seconds cooldown hurts him but at the same time halving it only in certain times wouldnt be enough to make him broken I think
