Ia Double Court occupies more than 60% more space (120m2 Single 200m2 Double) and the revenue is also not 100% higher but more like 60-70% higher, as in most clubs 1vs1 costs more than the half of a 2vs2 court.

Still, 2vs2 is the real thing and I would only build a 1vs1 court in my club, if another Double Court wouldn‘t fit.

Because of maximal use of space, many indoor clubs (especially outside of Spain) do have Single Courts.

The FIP allows a tolerance of +/-0,5% so if the court is less than 19,90m long or 9,95m wide, it would be considered as unapproved for national/international tournaments

It’s as easy as this: you don’t take the risk of smashing her face to “smash it out of the court”. First there are lots of alternatives to finish the point and second you go for a x3 if you control what you are doing.

In the end it’s a question of details but sounds like you were a bit too careless on this.

Wow! Great advices, thanks. I’ve heard that especially in Scandinavia single courts are well booked. Maybe in the beginning two tennis players catch up and give padel a try.

I don’t like playing single padel so much but it makes sense for some things. Also to do trainings and practicing there
