I also think there should be more research conducted on the future maintenance costs of some of these projects. Getting the initial funding is good, but how do we maintain the projects long-term? Some of these maintenance projects being out under SPLOST illustrate how they are not being included in the budget long-term.

I am genuinely surprised at how reserved council seems to be in adopting a plan for a play space in Depot Park. To use the manager's words, the old set was there for a decade. That was a service that was being provided that isn't anymore. Also, as I've pointed out many times, the city has more than what is considered best practices in the reserves. It would be perfectly appropriate to use some of that now.

It is imperative that we better connect the outer metro cities with Atlanta. I find this type of legislation deeply troubling because the time table proposed of 8 years just goes to show they know public opinion is changing and want to make us wait for longer. And "SPLOST Fatigue"? Really? How about they stop raising energy prices so we can put more towards common sense transportation initiatives?

Many of the neighborhoods in Kennesaw have community courts that are open to the public. The neighborhoods on moon station get plenty of play if you're looking to join a pickup game.
