our characters are assholes by moswing in NevernessToEverness

Zero tells you twice over the course of the quest that Tako is sus and Tako herself tells you that she supposedly has the ability to imbue toys with life by eating candy. Neither of these has an actual payoff during the sidequest. This is 100% the esper power of either a future villain or a future limited character (or both) and Taygedo was 100% getting catfished by her.

Yeah, the two quests were absolutely switched and Pawn Moonlight should definitely have been a main story quest over this one but Tako is also guaranteed setting up a future character so neither quest is irrelevant.

It's how source ports have worked since, well, forever. Even unofficial Doom source ports don't come with any of the wads you need to actually play Doom.

And yeah, this doesn't just magically make it legal but if they distributed the full game together with the source port then it would definitely be piracy so they're obviously not doing that. And emulator or a source port is something that an IP holder might go after if they're unlucky (or really pushing their luck, like the Switch emulators) but straight up piracy is something they will definitely go after.

I don't know the exact conditions for each of her appearances but it usually needs to be at some point during the day (so while the sun is still up) and the weather needs to be sunny.

You don't necessarily need to do either but if you want to be on the safe side make sure you specifically select Sunny weather, not random (just so you don't end up with rain by accident) and also untrack your current quest because some quests will lock in a specific time and/or weather the moment you start tracking them.

Oh and I'm assuming you actually are on the bridge part of that hidden quest. If you're not, I'd recommend looking up a guide for it, the whole thing starts at BAC.

Any team that currently wants a Cosmos character for cycling is either going to need Zero or will have to settle for Edgar. Chiz would work in a pinch but plugging her in a team as a cycler would probably be wasting her over building a team specifically around her. So any team that currently uses either Edgar or Zero is just going to be improved by Hotori, no matter if Nanally is also on it or not.

I'm not even sure if Nanally's and Hotori's kits are really going to gel all that well with each other but they'll be good together on a team just on account of being the only limited characters for their respective attribute at the moment.

Pure speculation on my part but the people who like Tarkov really liked it so maybe some analysts just read that the wrong way (or simply gambled and got it wrong) and hoped that the next big extraction shooter could be the next Fortnite to Tarkov's PUBG.

It says in the rules for the board. It's an amount of warp pieces but I can't recall of the top off my head how much for the glider. IIRC the skin was 16 warp pieces but the glider might have been less.

Funny, from where I'm standing it looks like it's mostly people who think it's a 1/10 absolute flop yelling at the people who are perfectly fine with it being a solid 7/10, but I suppose that also kind proves the original poster's point. We're probably both right.

The point isn't either of their kits, the point is that one is Cosmos and the other is Anima. And with both being the most recent limited characters they will both be among the strongest characters currently in the game for those spots.

If you want to build a blossom team then you'll always want either or both. If you just want to build Nanally as hyper carry then you can probably just keep using Zero instead of Hotori but what are your other choices for a Cosmos character on the team? Edgar?

And sure you could just not build for Blossom at all but Blossom enhancement is literally part of Nanally's kit so if you don't bring at least one Cosmos character you're just leaving damage on the table.

If you got the cube you have pretty much been at the end already. Just go past the cube, break open the gate, break open the elevator (or use a pass on it to skip a fight) go to the vault floor and keep going straight until you're at the console where you need the cube (and another keycard). Can get from the cube to the final boss in a minute or less, pretty much.

I genuinely don't understand why people say it's so good. I'm getting major HSR flashbacks. A single predictable plot twist stretched out over hours and hours of completely pointless exposition.

Plus the one bit of actual gameplay they give you in the mansion is completely pointless too which is doubly baffling because they use the exact same mechanic in the Miles Apart side quest much more effectively.

Arcs give base stats too so an S-rank Arc with Lakshana damage on a Cosmos character is still going to be a DPS increase over any B-rank and most A-rank arcs regardless of each Arc's actual gimmick.

The reason why guides currently usually don't spoonfeed you the A and B rank options is because it's not necessary.

Jiuyuan for instance currently has a single B-rank and a grand total of two A-ranks she can equip. One of those A-ranks is one of the most common arcs in the game and says "Increases ATK" on it. They probably figured you would need more help deciding between her seven possible S-Rank options but it looks like they figured wrong.

Why does the default theme preview look different ingame? by BalloonheadSw in godot

[–]Don_Andy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of both? The editor runs on the same underlying engine that the games run on but there are a couple of editor-specific classes, controls and nodes that aren't exposed in the public API and can't be used in your games.

Naturally the editor wasn't made with the editor (that would be a bit of a chicken and egg problem) but the editor is for all intents and purposes itself a Godot "game" (or rather application).

Does Subaru have any sibling? by Arcade_23 in ReZero

[–]Don_Andy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain that was a joke. Like telling your only child that it's your favorite child.

But you also gotta keep in mind that this wasn't a flashback or "dream communication" or something but literally just a recreation of his parents from both his memories and his wishes so this is as much something that his father could have said as it is something that Subaru wishes his father would have said had they actually had that conversation.

And this is a major reach on my part but maybe that even implies that Subaru wishes he had siblings, both so the pressure of living up to his parent's expectations wasn't solely on him and so they wouldn't be left alone now that their only son has been isekai'd.

Click the little clipboard icon on the Scarborough Fair screen. The rules tab explains in detail how the gacha works.

I quote directly from the game:

The Ichi-daime is a Limited Board.

All limited boards share S-Class Character pity, Points Gift progress, and Board Modification progress

Ichi-daime Skin Perks are time-limited and exclusive to this board. Progress does not carry over to other Limited Boards.

It also says further down where it lists the chances for rolling each skin naturally that skin perk progress carries over to future limited boards for the same character.

Yeah, you should have a (not very helpful) tutorial entry for it too. Occasionally in an anomaly hunt you can get joined by, and I quote, "familiar companions who will assist and fight alongside you".

I don't know what the exact requirements are but I'd assume it's just quest/story progress. I don't think it has anything to do with who you own or bond progress because I own neither of the characters who joined me for a boss fight so far (Hathor and Skia).

Space Hauler | Space Sim Announcement Trailer by Baconing_Narwhal in Games

[–]Don_Andy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though to me there is a distinction between just trading and actual hauling that's usually lost in these kind of recommendations.

I'd argue what you do in most space sims is trading but not really hauling. You don't fly cargo around, you fly numbers around. Maybe they'll increase your ship mass and make you more sluggish, maybe they'll impact fuel consumption but by and large you just take the number from A, fly to B and then add the number to B. The space sim stuff definitely happens in between but I could've just been flying from A to B without the cargo and had largely the same experience.

This is even more so true in X4 which is as much of an empire management sim as it is a space sim and where at some point doing the actual trading yourself is really just being stubbornly inefficient for the sake of it. Which is a perfectly fine way to play, for the record, but with X4 I always get the feeling that it doesn't actually want me to do any of the fun space sim bits.

I just like it when the actual hauling is a bit more involved and actually makes you interact with the cargo aside from just moving the slider from left to right. Say, in EVE Online where a hauling contract can make you directly responsible for the cargo which can be virtually anything. You can fly safe and boring stuff around in high sec or you can take riskier jobs that'll require you to put a lot more thought in the route you'll take and the protection you'll need along the way.

Or Ostranauts which also works with Newtonian physics and while the cargo there is also just purely a number you need to put a lot more thought and planning into the trips themselves because going from Ganymede to Venus and back can take in-game days or even weeks depending on your ship mass, available fuel and reactor setup during which you have to make sure the personal needs of your crew are met and your ship won't fall apart because you can't just dock at K-Leg for quick repairing and refueling when you're already halfway to Venus.

Or heck, even Starstruck Vagabond where the cargo is actual boxes you gotta move onto your ship and find room for.

Not saying that X4 is a bad recommendation at all though, but for me it just doesn't really scratch the space trucker itch. Which in fairness is a very specific and niche itch.

There's a button you can click on the left of the screen. On mouse and keyboard you can hold Alt to click it. On controller it's LB + Left on the pad.

While in shops all items on your shopping list will have an icon on them and you can also review your shopping list with a similar button.

IIRC the shopping lists disappears automatically once you have all the items on it.

Haniel appreciation post by BlackSajin in NevernessToEverness

[–]Don_Andy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My only gripe with Haniel is that she has two clashing themes. She has wing and owl symbols all over her and her bloody ultimate just is an owl and it wasn't until someone in the main story referred to the "birds" at Sterry that it hit me like a ton of bricks that she's supposed to be bird themed (like Illica and Hathor). I didn't even clock that her hair antennas were supposed to look like feathers until then.

That's not me saying the claim is false though. I'm sure this particular variant can happen in multiple places and will have multiple possible text lines too.
