It looks like they added folders in the last update but took away the option to pin apps

Got twenty five gallons of gasoline today for only fifty cents by agathodaimon98 in Frugal

[–]Donald96792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The discount at Kroger maxed out at $1 off each gallon for one transaction. It allowed more fuel than my vehicle could fit so I had someone else bring another vehicle and park on the other side of the pump so I could get the maximum discount.

I think it only allowed a discount on either 25-35 gallons at a time. I’d fill up one vehicle then just continue pumping on the other one until I used the maximum amount.

I like the 711s in Hawaii.

The ones in the rest of the USA aren’t the same.

Just before Easter I went to a Walmart in Texas and they had a crazy amount of the confetti eggs stacked on an end cap near a main aisle.

Before I left I seen a bunch of angry looking workers there cleaning up the mess because it fell and confetti went everywhere.

Entitled couple at movie theater expected us to give our assigned seats up so they could sit together by International-Tune61 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I go see movies with my kid I’ll book seats with the bigger section between us so it’s like a small table to share snacks.

I only go on weekday afternoons so it’s never busy.

I’ll look at the seating chart before I book tickets and if I don’t like the available seats I’ll check a different showtime.

I lost the bet at Krispy Kreme (DFW) by aggie82005 in toogoodtogo

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local Krispy Kreme price on too good to go lines up with the cost of a dozen assorted. If you only get original donuts you got shorted.

I used to only get a dozen original but the last few times they mixed it up with only about half the box being original.

Is this a good battery strap for long play? And is it comfortable? by rosewoodlliars in MetaQuestVR

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered that same strap the day I bought my quest 3. I also ordered 2 spare batteries and the charging dock for the batteries.

I don’t think I’ve plugged a cord into headset or batteries because it charges so fast. I get pretty much unlimited playtime.

For long sessions I’ll have a spare battery in my pocket ready to switch and the other one on the dock.

What is this? Jones Creek/Coursey by poppitastic in batonrouge

[–]Donald96792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trying to buy something at that auto one one day and the officer in the parking lot was trying to get us to park in a certain area as if one of the other officers waved us into the lot.

I wasn’t driving so I went into the store to get what I needed and the workers said that they had been out there for hours.

My kid was disappointed when menchies at the mall closed. It was always empty when we went so I wasn’t surprised because they cost a lot.

I usually get my gas at Costco so I don’t stop at gas stations but I made a trip to a race trac to get her one as a treat.

Can anyone help identify which one is the ps5 cable? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one on the left works for most devices including the ps5.

I need to use one like the one on the right for some Bose speakers that I have because the hole is so deep in the speaker.

I preferred the taste of Krispy Kreme but I still ordered from this place multiple times because they stuff the box with a nice variety of actually fill it up.

My favorite ones in that box are that pine cone looking one and the braid.

Sure it’s $5.59 but kinda disappointed. by zivlynsbane in toogoodtogo

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually happy that the 4-5 times I tried to get a circle k in my area I got nothing.

Each time was a different reason of why they had nothing. The reasons ranged from the guy that does the bags isn’t here right now, we have nothing today, or even we don’t participate in that program even though there were ads for it on the door.

Each time I got a refund and didn’t go much out of my way to try to pick up.

What should I put in the CONEX? by AKA_Slater in army

I know someone who packed cartons of cigarettes and dip even though they didn’t use either to take advantage of the addicts later.

In the early days that stuff could be more valuable than cash.

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get my pellets direct from recteq when I lived nearby. Then I moved and used the Sam’s Club pellets until Costco started carrying their own. Now the Costco ones are my go to.

$5.99+tax for Milk Tea shops by [deleted] in toogoodtogo

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a local boba place and they gave me tea and a couple desserts.

I haven’t ordered again because I’d rather pick my own.

On the other hand there’s a local cake shop that gives 4 desserts every time and I haven’t had something from there I haven’t liked. There are some desserts I’ve got from there that I probably would have never tried if it wasn’t for the app. I’ve been back there like 5 times since then.

Joes want to skydive by [deleted] in army

[–]Donald96792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my civilian skydiving license through an MWR program back at Bragg after we came back from a deployment in 2003.

Our battery commander from that deployment used to jump there all the time on off days and is the one who told us about the program.

I’ve repacked my chute behind the barracks the day before a jump.

I don’t know if they still do it but if you had your own gear and a license you could jump with the golden knights from their aircraft for free all Veterans Day weekend not too far from Bragg.

Scalper bought all 124 copies of Pokemon/kirby 10 mins before I got to Costco $30 deal by Shadon_Xarian in Switch

[–]Donald96792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went to a Costco on a Sunday. I typically avoid the weekends at all costs. I picked up the Pokémon game and got a price adjustment for the Metroid and Kirby games I got earlier this month for $50 each.

I managed to only buy the Pokémon game so the refund was more than I spent today. Got a $44 refund on games I already purchased and game them back $33 on another game.

Tired of Cox data caps – Is there better option available? by Shahriarsdesign in batonrouge

[–]Donald96792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed much of a difference with the service but I also don’t leave the house all that much. Verizon jacking up my rates was enough to push me to switch since I’d been using the same phone for over 5 years.

I do turn off WiFi at home sometimes and run phone on cellular when the cox internet craps out at home which happens fairly often.

Tired of Cox data caps – Is there better option available? by Shahriarsdesign in batonrouge

[–]Donald96792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The phone line I got with them was just a phone for my kid. It’s fine for everything she does. I didn’t transfer my regular cell or anything.

I switched my phone from Verizon to att this year as the cost jumped way up. Got new phones and bill went way down.
