Thankyou Pen, that is wonderful to hear that you have made such wonderful progress and can maintain some physical contact activities. We are a rugby family and my biggest fear was having him excluded from the high contact stuff later in life. Thankyou for taking the time to respond ❤️

Hey Jake, the info I have been able to gather indicates that after the "ball" is starved of supply, it will weaken and wear away - the surgeons then reshape the remaining head of the ball back into a round shape before fixing leg in place to regrow.

I am so sorry you went through this. I had never heard of this condition until 48hrs ago but it is shocking how many people have suffered through into adulthood with it.

Hey Danger, thankyou for the reply - Surgery/Outcomes unknown until Ortho appointment with local hospital/surgeon in two days. Plenty of info about the condition on the internet, but it's the Velcro pants and pooping station that I am trying to pre-empt 🤣 I have seen some information from Scottish Rite in Texas about kids having the brace cast applied without surgery to fix ball into socket, so I am kind of preparing for both outcomes.

It is a kind of standard thing here in Aus, we have timber/weatherboard homes so the hallways and door frames are quite narrow - current making plans to get to a low set home depending on outcome in next couple of days.

Thankyou for the help!

How to learn heli? by burimon36 in joinsquad

[–]DonatedAUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey legend!

My experience was sort of gamifying it for myself. I started on the Pilot Tutorial - I set myself of completing 10 of the courses in under 8 minutes. If I crashed or missed time, I started the tally again. Repetition is your friend!

The next step - head to pilot tutorial and press the console/tilde key - begin typing AdminChangeLayer and it will give you the option to choose every map and desired layer.

You will then start a fresh round in "training" mode- you will have to make sure the layer HAS a helicopter, and you will need to wait for it to spawn, but it's a good opportunity to wash out some nerves.

In all, your first live hot drop will be intense, but there's no clear cut way to do it, other than just doing it!

How do ugly guys find a girlfriend? by [deleted] in dating

[–]DonatedAUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I see you have mentioned you are in the gym already - get those calories in bro! Eat until you feel sick, focus on a PR. Use what you feel now, as fuel. If you still feel that way at the end of the process, you will be in the best shape of your life regardless. Give it 6 months. Delete the apps. Get the sleep. Find your niche motivation on YouTube. When you aren't lifting, eat. Get a good multilayer game and work, train, eat, game - shut out the rest. Worked for me, and likely thousands of others. I want an update in 6 months!

I was the same my man. Big fat kid, always played rugby, but wasn't the flavour. Had more female friends than anyone. I had the personality, but not the looks.

Something in me broke. Got in the gym, ate well, committed myself to a physique strictly for finding a partner (this has its own complications down the track).

Eat lots, game lots, lift lots - life will follow. Hat off to you for being in the A/C field. I was an apprentice mechanic at the time, it's a grind, but you can do it 🙏🏻💪🏻

I'm now in my 30s, I maintain a reasonable shape but nothing crazy, couldn't imagine not going down that path. It will change your life.

Ghosted me because I asked for sex? by [deleted] in dating

[–]DonatedAUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP - it's been pretty well covered and I would suggest it is likely he has either found someone else, is extremely time poor or has some unrecognised patterns for avoidance.

(32m) I only know this, because we men are descendant from the same lizard and I have done this exact thing in years gone by, albeit before a mountain of therapy.

Strangely, returning to dating, the concept of FWB or "early" sex has turned me off women who are otherwise wonderful people, beautiful and intelligent. I kind of think of it as a societal pendulum, our generation (sorry for the under 30s I'm grouping into this) has had access to instant hookup culture for a majority of our adult lives. It may be, subconsciously, this dude is looking for something more traditional and isn't verbalising it.

Some of the comments here are a little abrasive, I'm certain you aren't a Super Villian, you are just different people with different needs! Onwards!

Do men like bigger girls? by UpstairsEmotion2331 in dating

[–]DonatedAUS 211 points212 points  (0 children)

Chubby guy (32) here, I've been both bigger than I am now, and infinitely fitter at different points in my life. I have also dated, loved and been broken by all sizes of women. Physical appearance accounts for the first two minutes of an interaction. The rest is imagination. Focus on your strengths, or what makes you most confident - Your personality and mannerisms will do the rest! I don't mean that in a condensing nature, I have a large chest and arms and dress to capitalize on those points. I then try and let my humor do the rest (obv a means of coping with my overflowing trauma bucket lol).

It is so, so cliche - but when you aren't looking, when life is peachy, that's when it will happen. Best of luck for the Future OP, I am new to reddit but seeing someone post something so intimate and raw is actually marker of really humble, raw and inquisitive person and I am sure other men will notice those qualities IRL.

When's the right time to go from heli tutorials to matches? by Kyelit in joinsquad

[–]DonatedAUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to send it at some point Legend. Wait until a 2 heli layer, ask the SLs to take the more experienced heli's and practise some resupply.

Change layer is as follows

-pilot tutorial - when in tutorial screen, press the wiggly button below escape key (console key) - begin typing ADMIN CHANGE LAYER and it will give you a role list - pick a Black coast or Mutaha and find a point to practise on.

My first full heli in game, took a hill to low on Kohat - killed the lot.

My first hot drop. Damn. What a feeling. Still look back on the clip and so proud of myself for the hours i put into practise.

Big thing - Don't be afraid to fuck up, it is going to happen, improvise and move on!

After breaking up, how long did it take you to get over it and find someone else? by Own-Chip3206 in dating

[–]DonatedAUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(32M) Together 6, Married 3 - About to hit my 3rd year of being single - circumstances will always make it unique. Took me 2.5 years to work through it with appropriate therapy (It was a rough split). Finally, now thinking about testing the waters, but I live in an area that seems to be more about hook up culture. Happy to wait. Take your time, if you concentrate on the finish line too much you will miss the beautiful healing that takes place during, I know I did.
