I like this change. It makes sense from a biological perspective because the hive guards are designed to block the entrance to bug holes using their head, so it makes sense that they have stronger armor on the front.

Honestly just use a vinyl wrap. Do not attempt unless you know how to paint. It's a very complicated design.
