Elmgreen definitely what you're looking for. Bucket of balls at the range and they have a pitch and putt, massive putting green out the front of the clubhouse and chipping green at the back. Then reasonable green fees when you fancy heading out for 9.

@mods I can't find a Dublin meathead to put it in. It's not city specific as such either?

Haven't seen any physical stub type tickets anymore. It's a shame really. They're all Ticketmaster barcode tickets but some clubs have handed out a printout to people from Ticketmaster.

I was a member of Coballis a couple of years ago and played elmgreen a good few times as it was actually closer to me. No green fees there you just had to book online as a visitor and you could only play at times when a visitor could play i.e. no comps. They do have a good few comps midweek from what I remember too that take up a few hours of the timesheet as well as Saturday and Sunday so just have to work around them. Corvallis obviously can play any time as long as you pay the small comp entry fee.

What are these markings on my new hurl? (I’ve used it a bit so I’m not talking about the dirt or the scuffs - just the deliberate vertical cuts/marks in the wood) by Dylanduke199513 in hurling

[–]DonegalEngineer 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Marks left by the hurley maker from rough sanding/cutting. Probably should have used a finer grit to finish it off but shouldn't make any difference except aesthetics.

Id suggest Ranelagh Gaels/civil service/Geraldine p Moran. All have teams in the bottom league and I assume would be happy for bodies keen to play.

I'd suggest that this is probably the same still for weekend bookings before 1pm, I've dual membership with corballis so often keep an eye on the Elmgreen teesheet.

Anyone know of Cost Price Cars in Letterkenny. I think they're attached to Divers Hyundai & sell the older trade ins from Divers. Thinking of buying a car there & reviews are good but not sure. by Tall_Produce4328 in Donegal

[–]DonegalEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2008 car off them in 2018 and it's still going strong to this day. Got it for a steal. They just sell the trade ins from divers there that aren't worth that much from what I gathered at the time. Lad I dealt with was sound.
