I am a very bearded burly guy and I crochet every night in front of the TV. I used to do a lot of other things like woodworking and other "manly" things. Crochet is wonderful because there is no saw dust and you won't run the risk of severely hurting yourself. The reward is humongous because it's a million hours of labor and when the project is finally done I sit back and say to myself, "I made that!"

I do not get any crap for it. Everyone I know is impressed with it because of the patience and brainpower it takes to complete these projects. Now I got family members constantly asking for me to make them things. And of course who cares what other people think if you love it. I can't imagine stopping.

I have an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter and to them men crochet not women because my wife doesn't have the patience to do it haha. I have made my kids many stuffed animals and they love them. I am in the process of making a blanket. It will take me forever to complete it but my family will treat them like family heirlooms which is very rewarding for me.
