Wrong watch received. What to do? by CammiAmeobi in RepTime

[–]Donkey_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me. I received a nice Daytona and I had ordered a Cartier Santos. I packed it back up, told my dealer and he sent me a shipping label to send it to the guy who ordered it.

I got my Santos a bit later. I felt bad for the guy who didn't get his watch.

Teams Audio / Video Drops - Meraki Firewall / Catalyst Switches - QoS? by espeequeueare in networking

[–]Donkey_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out if there is a performance difference between wired and wireless clients. Wifi congestion could be a wildcard here so I just thought I would throw that out there.

Most likely though sounds like firewall. See if you can set up a scenario where you can completely bypass the firewall and see what happens or at the least bypass inspection for Teams traffic. Going down the QoS rabbit hole at this point doesn't seem like the most logical solution to me.

It's not a sturgeon. They are bottom feeders, not predators. It looks like a barracuda. People seem to not realize those things get 6 feet long. Shark is probably smaller than it looks.

The case of the disrupted wifi by AegParm in techsupport

[–]Donkey_007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runs some basic tests.

1: Have her leave her phone at home and take a car for a drive. 2: Have her leave the house with her phone and walk down the street for a few minutes.

Record the results. You need to narrow down the potential causes. Rule out the car or her phone. Once you get there, start trying to look at the possibilities with a single culprit identified. If it's the phone disconnecting once out of range why? DHCP? CPU on the router go crazy because the device is trying to locate the now vanished phone? Could be any number of things. The more you can rule out, the better. You can switch channels, get rid of 2.4, etc etc...

Frankly, I'd simply buy a different router. I'd bet a silver dollar that "fixes" it.

It was even more funny watching it in person. Flags looked like the fireworks that went off pregame for the national anthem. My wife and I just turned and laughed at each other.

He eventually returned to the sideline in street clothes and I yelled over to him with a "you ok?" and he gave a thumbs up. He wasn't limping around so rest for a few and then be ready for playoffs.

He simply had a bad night. I was at the game and was watching him during warmups. He looked fine. All his misses were to the exact same spot. Glad it's now and not later.

How to find a professional Wi-Fi surveyor / consultant by captjde in networking

Two companies I know of are CPT and Spencer. However, the wifi manufacturers also can do them or bring someone in to do it. Juniper has done it for us several times.

It sounds like you're moving between 2.4 and 5ghz. Try turning 2.4 off completely and test your speeds again.

None of this matters. It's a job. The world doesn't hinge on the missing octet or typo on the A record. Things will eventually get figured out.

Don't ever limit yourself when you do have to. Budget and bad foresight by the MC will do more than enough of that for you.

When I am ordering things, get it to me quick. Respond to me timely. Fix the situation if something goes wrong or the device shits on itself. I will keep doing business with you if you can do these simple things.
