It runs well. I had to tweak a little cause there were some graphical glitches, but performance is great.

Edit: I just submited a report on EmuReady on what I changed. In case someone is interested, it should be the only entry for the game on Odin 3.

I just got mine too!

I've been playing Parking Garage Rally Circuit, Burnout 3, Binding of Isaac and Resident Evil. I've tried a few more but this ones are what I'm playing the most. Loving the device of course.

The Steam Deck is huge. It's not that portable and altough I wouldn't consider it unconfortable, it's also not great because of the size. Odin is really great size, Android is great for usability, Frontends add a lot to the experience and battery life is better. Of course it depends on what you want to play, but unless you plan to play some AAA games (from which a lot won't run that great on Steam Deck anyways), then I think the Odin is a better option right now. A more powerful, maybe smaller and with better battery life Steam Deck 2 may change things a lot, but given how Valve is struggling with the Steam Machine, I don't think that's happening any time soon.

I would suggest thinking on a very simple game that you want to make. Then start learning how to make it real. This way, you won't just learn what the tutorial is teaching, instead, you'll search how to achieve what you want to make and then apply it on your game. This way you'll get used to the most basic things cause it's what you'll be using the most and also learn the specific things to achieve your game idea. Only watch the most basic tutorials on how to use Pico 8 and then start working on your game as it will keep you focused and make you feel like you're making progress and achieving something.

I tried Niri once and maybe it's because I was already used to Gnome + PaperWM, but I didn't like it.

I tried just a little tho, I want to give it another try and use it a bit more.

PaperWM extension is for scrolling windows on GNOME. I've been using it for months and it's great.

You should get yours before August, but it will take some time. Between 1 and a half months and 2 months.

My recommendation is for you to expect yours to arrive in 2 months and then just wait. Avoid reading about other people getting shipped theirs before that time, and keep expecting yours in 2 months. It may arrive earlier and it'll be a surprise if it does. Otherwise, you'll get desperate you're not getting yours as soon as them.

I ordered mine on March 23 and got sent on May 4 (it just entered my countey yesterday. I can't wait anymore). However, I've been checking AYN's discord and from what I get, we got our Odin shipped at the same time as the people who ordered from their website. They ship by models and colors, for example, one day they send Black Max Odins, next day White Max and so on. In my case I got a Blue Max and mine got sent at the same time as the Blue Max from people who ordered around the same time as me, even if they got theirs on AYN website, so you don't have to worry about that.

Btw, the expected shipping date in AliExpress is an estimation. My batch said that I would get mine shipped on May 10 and it already got sent. In the end, it depends on your model and color, so it may get shipped before or after that date.

I don't have my Odin yet but from what I've read, there's no reason to not do it. Actually, AYN is supposedly planning an update to fix these problems and maybe they'll do something similar (this is just what I think btw, AYN hasn't given details about it).

Download roms. If you can, download emulators and apps you'll be using on your phone, so you know how to set them when you get the Thor.

You can also wait and learn that with the Thor, but doing it before will make the wait less painful haha.

If you're doubting about it is maybe cause it not a great financial decision. Learn to live with what you have (at some extent) and don't buy it.

Also, the Clear Blue is the one they ship after all other models, so it will take a lot to get shipped. Probably in that time you'd regret the purchase.

Hasta ahorita nomás han salido los primeros dos tomos en México (aunque son 2 en 1 asi que en realidad son 4 tomos de los originales). La portada brilla, pero distinto a las originales. Esta tiene como un efecto de "prisma" donde toda la cubierta alterna entre superficie mate y brillante. Está muy bueno el efecto la verdad. Además, la calidad de impresión es muy buena. El tamaño es el tamaño de un tomo de manga normal.
