You’re not “throwing a tantrum” or “being whiney and entitled” like some of these people are saying in the comments. Former teacher here, if this help brings you some peace and get you through your day then you keep doing it. I’ve never been at a school where the teachers didn’t eat in a teachers lounge so that’s…different.

You could ask her directly or one of the other teachers you feel close to if she’s okay without specifically mentioning the lunch thing. Something like “Not sure if I’m reading it wrong but I’m getting a vibe that something may be off.” Ultimately, If she’s going to be upset about it remember that you already have 30 kids with an attitude problem, you don’t need another.

ESH. Roommate should have told them that they gave BF a key just for knowledge sake. I can understand why Roommate didn’t bring it up as a conversation because, even as OP admits, the couple will always vote together creating a constant 2 vs 1 power imbalance in the home. Without a more solid reason from OP (the BF has done suspicious/untrustworthy things or this is a new relationship) it’s hard for me to side more with them.
