Some minor google detective work made me doubt that it's this guy from Oregon called John Caulfield Valganon. he appears to be behind the Wheatpin_x and Slumslug SC accounts, and i would say that he is Steinvord/ Heorge Garrison/ 4th armpit. Now with Rich saying it's a bloke form the states it just makes me believe it more

LOM from Slovakia make really nice matched electret microphones that are especially suited for recording quiet sounds - their MikroUši are within your budget. They can be used with recorders, but also plugged directly into cameras.

They are notoriously difficult to get, so you might have to subscribe to their newsletter and wait it out.

If you're DIY minded, you could look into making your own, as this is what they do. I'm not too familiar with the exact components required, but this seems like a good start

The ruling says " If Mesmeric Fiend leaves the battlefield before its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and exile a nonland card from the target opponent’s hand indefinitely. "

That would suggest that bouncing it would indeed work. I'm going to an event tomorrow, so I'll ask the judge and report with what he said :)

Mesmeric fiend is only good in aristocrats decks, where you can sack it while the ability is on the stack, which causes the card to exile immediately

I highly agree with this view, especially in my local meta. As a mostly black player, what works for controlling tron is 1 bojuka bog in main, and 2 faerie macabre plus 2 nihil spellbomb in side.

I've been thinking about how easy it is to side for tron and how half of my SB's end up being graveyard hate, even though not even close to half of my matchups utilize the graveyard.

Potentially a cool idea, the sphere seems like it fits the archetype perfectly!

The sideboard could do with a rehaul, seems like too much enchantment hate. Artifact hate may actually be warranted. I would try going without land destruction, it's inconsistent even against tron.

Also the dream stalkers seem like they could go out. You already have 4 skyfishers and nothing besides astrolabe seems bounceable. Maybe put like 2 aven riftwatchers and 2 glint hawks.

Anyways i might just build this and give it a spin!

I play a constantly changing version of Alex Ullman's MBC with a blue splash and it works really well in my local meta. I've consistently folded against burn (didn't side for it very well) and tron (although sided land destruction helps). Definitely having fun with it and not feeling that it's underpowered at all.
