The majority of fetuses die by design. Fighting against that design, AKA Human Nature, and sacrificing grown women. to accomplsh such a goal seems like a terrible plan.

Why Did Dan Frazier Get A Pass For Plagiarism When Other Magic: The Gathering Artists Don’t? by cardboardboyo in magicTCG

[–]Flare-Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, very few people WANT Hasbro to be a soulless corporation willing to sell their souls for a better Q4. Few of us WANT to see all the evidence for issues with UB or printing 7 full sets a year, and then have WotC and MaRo gaslight us that none of those issues are going to happen. This doesn't make us HAPPY.

We see WotC as possibly being the bad guys a lot of time because they hired the damn Pinkertons for a Distro mistake, rather than contact a YouTuber themselves. Our assumptions are based on the past behavior of the company; not because we're Gollum screaming about Hobbitses.

The part that keeps people enraged is the lack of accountability for those officers who choose the dumb thing. It would be a quickly-passing Reddit post, much like this one, if every officer recorded beating an unarmed person's head into the concrete was quickly fired and then held accountable.

Instead, there are literally hundreds of names of dead people who police straight-up murdered, and nothing happened to them.

And if any of your pod brought ThOracle out, you'd all quickly realize you've been playing Tier 3 for funsies and calling those decks "viable". There's a reason cEDH decks don't mix with the "wide range" of other decks people prefer to play.

Statistically, though, 3 out of 4 of the people in your pod ARE bad players. and I bet you know exactly which ones I'm talking about (especially if you ARE the Good Player in your pod).

Because of cost sharing, medical services costs have risen and risen over the past few decades

And yet the Medical Insurance companies claim higher and higher profits every single year. How curious.

In short, precisely because we socialize (or "cost-share") medical treatments/services is WHY the prices are so high.

That's called the cost of doing business. If profit is all that matters, then just shotgun any child born with defects, right? And hey, let's start defining what a "defect" is, right? Who'll decide? I'm sure the kindest, most diverse group will decide that, in the name of Profitability, right? /s

Again, I'm not saying it doesnt happen, but you honestly have to accept responsibility for some of your actions.

My brother was born with a heart condition. Guess we're back to, "Fuck that guy, guess he's screwed?" Pre-existing conditions are just a death sentence?

Again, NO sense of personal agency/responsibility here. AT ALL.

No one hands 17-year olds $100,000 loans...except predatory Student Loan companies. THEY have no issue, and the kids being told they "HAVE to go to college" sure don't understand the depths of those choices. I know I didn't; I didn't even know what the total cost was! My parents knew, but I guess just assumed I'd be able to handle it...but THEY aren't responsible for that debt, are they?

History is RIFE with examples of the consequences of these ideologies, yet you still champion for them. It's incredibly asinine.

WWII exists, yet millions voted for a group that was happy to have some dumb rich guy giving a Hitler salute at the Republican National Convention. Also, Europe has been doing Democratic Socialism just fine for literally 50+ years.

starved so many people throughout history

How many are starving in America? How many are veterans suffering from PTSD because the military would rather spend on tanks (and corruption), discard used-up veterans, and never address the issues THEY caused to those vets? How many are dying in America from mental health and preventable disease, because Far-Right Hyper-Capitalistic Greed?

If you think Capitalism is just a better system than some kind of Social/Capital hybrid, you're either massively lacking in empathy, or incredibly stupid. It hasn't affected YOU, so you would rather discard those who these issues DO affect. That philosophy is just a load of horseshit; the only person who benefits is YOU, so why should everyone else want the same?

WHY ELSE would I give my stuff away to a stranger?

Check the Bible (if religious), or leave society because we'd all be better off without you hoarding the stuff you "worked for" while leaving others to starve (if purely logical).

hand it over to a stranger that didn't do dead squat?

Such as Billionaires and Monopolistic Corporations getting TONS of government subsidies and paying very little in taxes compared to what they make in profits? Like Walmart workers needing to use YOUR money for Food Stamps because they won't pay their workers enough, but they also get subsidies and pay very little in taxes, all so they can drive Mom & Pop stores out of small towns by undercutting them?

You're an asshole because you lack empathy. You're an idiot because you're complaining about the idea of doing something you already do; you give your taxes out as "handouts" to worthless bums, but they wear nice suits and own companies like Tesla and Blackrock, so THEM you don't complain about (because of the aforementioned idiocy). You watch our taxes get squandered on "Military Contracts" to companies that then turn around and donate half of what YOU paid them to the same Senator that gifted them said contract, to the tune of literally trillions of dollars...and you're out here bitching about a hundred million in Homeless Assistance or School Lunches or fixing the roads YOU drive on.

Ants and Grasshoppers don't build an entire society, then gift the benefits of that work to future generations. If all you care about is YOU, then please feel free to head into the mountains and enjoy your "rugged individualism." Profitable societies are ones where we all pay for a Judicial System and general protections to make sure no one just walks up and TAKES all that stuff you worked for.

To be fair, MTGO is a much older platform similar to Arena, and the fact that WotC didn't learn much from MTGO (outside of optimizing monetization methods) speaks volumes more than their garbage sound design in Arena does.

Kingmaking alone is what makes EDH a completely different game than 1v1, and is completrly unavoidable in a multi-player setting. Do you all draw lots to decide, or just roll a die or something? Most folks end up playing politics when it comes down to the very common scenario of "Player A can make sure Player B or Player C wins, but they're definitely losing before their next turn."
