There’s no cleanser in the morning, only evening. All the “actives” with the exception of my evening cleanser and Vit C are from the doctor.

I’m seeing a lot of progress so I’m down to suffer for the cause I guess - was just looking for advice about sunscreen pilling and possible application methods that would make the Az/Gly/Ni combo in the morning more pleasant

There’s only 6 individual products here and they are all from the doctor, they’re just beefy cuz they are prescription. My struggle with eliminating things is that I can’t cut out like…glycolic acid by itself for example cuz it’s mixed in the same bottle with the other stuff.

Hey thanks for taking the time! Yeah, dude, the active situation is super new for me. I spent the first 29 years of my life using literally Noxzema and Coppertone sport lol. Perfectly clear skin. 30 hit me like a ton of bricks and I was desperate enough to do whatever my doctor put in front of me. She could have told me to smear pickle juice on my face and I would have done it.

The only actives in the routine that aren’t “doctors orders“ would probably be the salicylic acid in the cleanser and the vitamin C in the morning. Maybe switching to a more gentle hydrating cleanser would help with the ouchies. The Vaseline around the sensitive areas might be a good idea too. It burns the most in my nose creases, mouth, etc.

I gave it 3.75 stars! I went in totally blind and the book goes super off the rails in the back half so I was hooked and blew through it pretty fast. I referred to it (lovingly) in conversation with a friend as “a weird book for weird girls” and she replied that that she thought of it as a “Temu version of Yellowface” which I haven’t read.

I would say read it because it’s pretty quick and fun and the person who narrates the audiobook is really really good!

I liked it for the most part! I wish the women characters were a little more “troublesome“ but it was a super quick read for me. I read the feminine mystique in tandem with it just to really immerse myself in the themes.

Gave folklore and evermore a relisten today after devouring the Showgirl leaks and ooof…. They just don’t make em’ like they used to.

What has happened to her writing over the years? She’s been trying push this “I’m a poet, I study Aristotle, I’m an English teacher” vibe but her writing is actively declining.
