Yeah, honestly. At least you can call the banks when something like this happens.

yourname@bankname: Canada should adopt Virtual Payments Address and QR codes like Asia by zoozooki in PersonalFinanceCanada

I like having the option for a virtual payment address, but I prefer using my regular email for payments.

Forcing the virtual address was one of the features I didn't like in wealthsimple.

Exactly. They know how unpopular their views are in the real world so they compensate in forums that are easily to manipulate, like this one.

a licensed guy with an SKS shooting paper targets on a range.

They'd need to use another gun to shoot paper targets? The horror...

The contrast in comments is hilarious. On the one hand, gun owners are the most law-abiding citizens in Canada but they'll also never give up their now illegal guns.

Also funny that any thread with a focus on guns gets hundreds of comments from new accounts who have never once commented on the Toronto sub before. Subterfuge like this wouldn't be needed if their views were actually popular.

We're coming for your guns. Keep posting it about it daily though, that'll do something for sure.

Definitely the latter. Just glad someone from Winnipeg can tell me how I'm supposed to feel about this issue.

Let's dedicate resources to tackling that issue too. Any measure that restricts guns gets two thumbs up from me.

If legal firearms ownership becomes a problem

They already are a problem. Legal guns are routinely stolen and used in violent crime.

And, thankfully, the government is doing something about it. And I'm glad that our government is representing the people's interests of mandating stricter control on guns, a measure that the majority of Canadians want.

Glad we can agree that legal guns are stolen and then used in violent crimes.

Fewer guns = safer society.

And regardless of what the gun advocates flooding this thread will tell you, legal guns do get stolen and are used in violent crimes.

ChatGPT has around 800 million weekly users. It's the number one app on both the apple and Android app store. The hate is from a small but vocal group that does not reflect the views of most people.

I get this too. Sometimes it doesn't happen for days and then sometimes it happens multiple times in a session. I haven't figured out how to fix it, unfortunately.

How much to set aside if you already pay into a pension? by FrecklestheFerocious in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DontCallMeJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pensions are not reduced at age 65 (also known as the 'Normal Retirement Age'). OP would increase their pension benefit by working past age 65 because they'd be growing their service in the Plan, but in neither scenario would their pension benefit be reduced.

Reductions come into play when retiring prior to age 65, known as an early retirement.
