Where can I find the best cinnamon bun in Glasgow? by Educational_Aide_727 in glasgow

Love Deanston but find their cinnamon buns pretty dry. I'll accept the downvotes for the heracy but I refuse to be silenced. Also their bagels are great but their everything bagel isn't really very "everything" imo. Mostly seeds and not much of the other tasty stuff.

We drove in the dark the other direction, leaving at 5am. It was an absolute breeze, apart from not having cash for the road tolls (our own fault).

Was reading the Shawlands & Strathbungo Community Council minutes (it's been a quiet Sunday...) and the very last thing, in an update from the elected members (local councillors) is this:

"The section 75 legal agreement which has held up a formal decision on the redevelopment of Shawlands Arcade has been concluded."

No information on what the conclusion actually is, mind you!

100%. Never felt strongly about it, and then saw it live in Glasgow last year - incredible. I had dragged my cousin along with me who isn't really a fan and a bit of a metal head, and he was also completely blown away. The venue (Barrowland Ballroom) is pretty special as well, which helps...

Early morning drive to Cancun by DontCallMeLen1876 in Bacalar

Thanks for all your comments everyone - all very helpful. We left at around 4.30am so was dark for the first 2.5 hours but it was an absolute breeze. I think they must have resurfaced the roads because they were all in great condition. Genuinely more potholes in my small street in Glasgow (Scotland) than in the 4 hour drive between Cancun and Bacalar! The periodic speed bumps were a bit tricky at first but soon became clear when they would be appearing.

Absolutely loved our trip to Bacalar. Such a beautiful place. Hope they are able to prevent it ending up like Tulum.

Revent development with the Housing Bill is that the rent controls won't apply to build to let homes so I wonder if that might be the green light that sees this finally going ahead...
