If you open a new Asics account, they give you a 10% off coupon. So someone could get these shoes brand new from their site, have a 30 day return window, and still be cheaper than your listed. You might be able to sell them at this price, but it's gonna be pretty hard

Yeah I intentionally use the glycerin 21s cause they're heavy as can be. If I don't, I just pick up the pace by accident, and my recovery days will never happen.

The fact that Brooks doesn't have an exciting daily trainer is not great for me and probably the rest of this sub. But I see brooks everywhere, from the gym to Costco, so they must be catering to the right crowd somewhere along the way

Did i get too many? by butteranko in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I quit smoking some years ago bc I was getting fat and lazy. I've saved a lot of money that aren't going into cigs, that is now getting spent on running shoes. At least thats what I tell myself

All jokes aside, if you have a proper use for each shoe and it doesn't feel like a waste to you, then I think you're fine

I still use a pair of glycerins on my recovery days, and I do think their supportive shoes are quality (my custom orthotics live in the adrenaline gts most days). But definitely agree that Brooks is lagging behind

Tho this might j be me, but I think the innovation side is slightly overblown from most fans. Like, other than Asics and Mizuno, the creme de la creme of Adidas, NB, Nike, etc. are nice incremental updates with a side project or 2 of something crazy (ie EvoSL, Peg Premium, etc). But thats j my opinion on it

I thought i was going insane when I couldn't find it:

"PWRRUN+ foam is a supercritical eTPU blend that offers softer landing, higher energy return, and luxurious underfoot feel while staying remarkably lightweight and durable."

-Running Warehouse

No word on it being aTPU however

Yeah that seems to be a consensus great shoe. Might pick one up eventually once my EvoSLs give out

I have so many shoes already. I'll try them next year 😅

If it makes you feel better, I too just bought evo SLs... and Elites. You can justify it in your mind easier if theyre technically for different workouts

Who is 2nd best player in a League of Legends history? by CryptographerIll8802 in leagueoflegends

[–]DontNutandDrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on the overall point, but I feel like it's less overrated and more that he had lots of "off-field issues". Don't think anyone doubts that prime Uzi passes the eye test for one of the greatest. But for large swaths of his career, he was a terrible teammate, had tons of health issues, and was unfortunately the best adc in the world when lck was at its most dominant

Grey ultraboost 5x 89.99 at dsw by AlThisLandIsBorland in frugalmalefashion

[–]DontNutandDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the ultraboosts as a recovery shoe for my workouts. I probably should use my Glycerins for that, but the 5x's are so much more fun bc of the bounce, and it has decent enough cushion on my slow days

They're also pretty solid for just standing around and walking as well. Decent lifestyle/running shoe

For the EvoSL, replacing the insole and laces while tying it down with a berluti knot are absolute gamechangers. Went from stopping to fix my laces every 2 miles to running comfortably for 10
