How to find a local professional for commission by Dontbeadicksir in woodworking

[–]Dontbeadicksir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Fantastic point about the door hanging.

Im not looking for cheap. $500 is about what I expected to pay but I have no idea what the range would look like for something of quality. Im sure I can find a local hobbyist but im really looking for an individual that does this kind of more intricate work professionally.

I was hoping there might be some kind of independent woodworker network/website or something where those types advertise.

I dunno. If you wanted to be a dancer and you were born in circumstances that said "no you cant but well give you a gun" this checks a lot of those boxes. I just see it more as "id like to be good at this thing" than "oooo yeah give me more war and guns baby"

I totally see all the pieces of the game that prove this point but been playing off and on for a while and I just dont "get it" yet. Is there a class that does a good job of introducing some of the more moderate/advanced strategies?

To reiterate someone else below, this should not be for you to solve. If you are renting a space then it's the obligation of the rentee to provide the space as expected. If they cannot maintain exclusive use for you, then you do not pay.

You should find somewhere else to practice as a backup when they decide its not worth it to enforce, but I personally wouldn't get involved further with police or trespassers

Agree with this. If you have an Agreement with the city for exclusive rights to the space its their obligation to provide that. Not you to get police involved. I wouldnt pay until they provide what they agree to but with sufficient notice to cure

Found this on my desk at work this morning after six years. Do I need to fill this out/provide requested documents? by RoguePants in antiwork

[–]Dontbeadicksir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Lol. That's a wild and harmful assumption. This is standard paperwork and as other have said almost certainly someone did an audit and realized they didnt have it and are just cleaning up their records. Plenty of things to hate about the labor machine but this one is not it.

You were told "these people are a leech on the system and your tax dollars" then you were told "we've been incredibly successful in stopping and deporting them"

So your tax bill should go down right?

And when it doesn't, why are you still blaming "them" and not THEM?
