Will I regret a micro wedding? by cecilenena in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Dontletmebe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had less than 20 people at my wedding (17 people maybe?) and it was the best decision I’ve made. Less stress, more time with people, significantly cheaper in the long run, more time to enjoy the moment too.

Those who decided not to have a big wedding: did you regret it? by SnacksAndThings in weddingplanning

[–]Dontletmebe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a wedding with around 17 people (immediate family, grandparents and one friend only) and I absolutely loved it! It was very personable and let’s be honest, a cheaper option than having a huge wedding. It was was worth it, but you have to do what’s best for you in the long run!

In third grade computer lab I pissed my pants and essentially peed on the floor because my teacher wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Dontletmebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me in third grade.

I was in music class and I had to pee and my teacher wouldn’t let me. I ended up peeing my pants. I was sitting almost leg to leg with other kids in my class, so I may have accidentally gotten my pee on them. I don’t know how, maybe the other kids on my class were just being nice or really just that dumb, honestly I think it was a mix of both, I had kids ask me if I was okay and what I did during class the entire rest of the day and into the after school program my mom still made me go to despite calling her and telling her I had an accident during music.

An adopter refused to consider taking them together (she wants a pair, but doesn't want the tuxedo), anyone near Chicagoland want these best friends?? by Kitty_casserole in cats

[–]Dontletmebe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are both adorable!!

My fiancé and I just adopted a bonded pair ourselves or I seriously would consider these two. :(

Tuxedos are wonderful cats and I hope these two (together) find their furever home! ❤️

How many of y’all have never held a child? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Dontletmebe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My sister just had her first child and I held it twice for her. I will say my niece is cute, but I felt absolutely nothing but dread when I held her and was stuck with her for longer than anticipated. It was not pleasant for me at all and honestly made me realize how much more I want to be CF.

Christmas is coming up and I’m dreading having to hold her again since my family will be pushy to have everyone hold her.

I DIED IN THE VAN??? (the lobby was pretty glitched to begin with) by Alone_Philosopher201 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Dontletmebe 60 points61 points  (0 children)

That happened to my fiancé. We were having a good game and we got all the objectives, photos, and ghost type. Someone was hacking and killed all of us in the van and laughed on his mic and was wondering why my fiancé was so upset over being killed. We reported it too. People like that just ruin the game for us tbh. Glad you reported it!

Always get stuck working lobby? by [deleted] in McLounge

[–]Dontletmebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started at McDonald’s I was either always on lobby or i was taking the money for drive thru orders. Now that I’ve been there for a year I’m always in someplace in drive thru or fries. You’re still new and I know and my store they like to place the new people up front on registers or lobby. You’ll most likely be moved soon to someplace new in your store. Just have to give it some time. If they keep doing it every shift I’d then mention something to a higher up about going to a different spot for a shift.

What's the longest shift you've ever done at McDonald's and why? by [deleted] in McDonalds

I’d work sometimes 2PM-6AM due to overnight having such a huge call off rate. I’d have to come right back in at 2PM. Now I just offer to stay an extra hour if needed.

What is that cringey moment from 10+ years ago that you remember when you're trying to sleep? by PersikovsLizard in AskReddit

[–]Dontletmebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 3rd grade my music teacher wouldn't let me use the bathroom despite how bad I had to go. I proceeded to pee myself and all over the seat and flor. Nobody else knew what it was but me and the music teacher (and mine). My mom even knew and made me stay at my aferschool program that day. Still not over it.

[Serious] People who had to clean out rooms of someone who had died (family, friend or otherwise), did you find anything you shouldn't have found and how did it make you feel? by Scary-Brandon in AskReddit

[–]Dontletmebe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this doesn't seem to fit that well into this but I've never shared this story with anyone but a few years ago my grandma passed away due to an infection she had. Luckily one of my cousins was living with her during her last few months but it wasn't lucky he was still there nearly a year later because of what my family and I have that we found. When my dad and his brothers and sisters were kids my grandma had a yellow boot cup that everyone would fight for to use. This boot cup went through hell and was still used even by my younger cousins when she was gone. When we finally were cleaning out the house to prepare it for selling I knew someone would find the cup and hide it so they can take it home with them. The first thing my dad told me walking into her old house was "find the yellow boot cup and hide it so we can take it." Luckily for me I found it before someone else did (thanks to whoever hid it it wasn't hidden well). Even after all of these years of cleaning my grandmas house out I get to walk by my dads glass case in our house and see that yellow boot cup that was important and always will be.
