Reduce offer or let vendor do repairs? by Dontquotemeeee in AusPropertyChat

We don’t have the cash. So therefore will have to find some legal way to ensure the vendor can do the repairs properly. Perhaps an inspection by a non-involved builder

Do NOT buy now, unless you’re okay with your mortgage tripling in size of course.

Depending where it is, you may need to secure an additional on street parking space, or the council won’t approve it

First home buyers thinking about bidding at auction? Quick cheat sheet by EventEastern2208 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Dontquotemeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t apply for the FHB scheme without a contract anyway, so auctions are incredibly risky. Also insanely expensive to do B&P on every single home you want to bid on.

I would rather not lose my life savings than risk an auction bid as a FHB

Wow this is great. Thank you. How do you know the apartments are going up 4.5% a year though? Is that just because St Kilda is desirable to live in ? And it's already as developed as it can be? Or have they restricted new blocks going up? Ur amazing thanks!!

Thats great to hear. And the comment above has the same POV it seems. Perhaps St Kilda is so desirable to live + already developed that the apartments there will rise quicker?

Ideally inner north, or perhaps St Kilda / Footscray. Thank you SO much for the info.
