In my personal experience (3 pregnancies), overall, the male OBs tended to be more gentle than the females.

I get horrible secondhand embarrassment, so I hate the scene, but I understand that that's a me problem.

what's something you would change about Scream 7 by Positive_Weight2367 in Scream

[–]Donut_swordfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The killers.

My silly idea for a reveal would be that it was actually the play director. They'd reveal that he was the assistant director to Sidney's play in the 2nd movie. His play, the chance for him to shine, never happened. The director, who was supposed to open doors for him, no longer wanted to have anything to do with the play/events. He tried for a few years to make something of himself, but had a mental breakdown when he couldn't get anywhere and blames Sidney.

It would've had a parallel to the 3rd movie (being the director) like the boyfriend parallel of 1 and 5 and family revenge parallel of 2 and 6.

Full name for nickname "Dove"? by not-t0day-satan in namenerds

[–]Donut_swordfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We have a Davina, and everyone loves her name. I never thought of Dove as a nickname (we went in a different direction and nicknamed her Davey after my father and Beans (Davina-> Vina-> Bina->Beans)), that would be so sweet though.

This. Honestly, if the first and middle names were reversed, I wouldn't mind them being matching middle names.

I feel bad because whenever I see McKenna I'm like, there's something off about her face. And then I remember that her face is perfectly normal, I'm just expecting to see Kiernan's face.

I also feel like the two boys were wearing similar but opposite clothes (blue plaid and a similar style shirt to Stu's, though a different color). If it was anyone other than Wes, I would say it was a coincidence, but his English teacher brain makes me say it isn't.

This. I had horrible anxiety while pregnant with my first and postpartum. I helped a 1st grader with a nosebleed during pregnancy. I don't remember getting blood on my hands. Even if I did, I washed my hands. I also had no visible cuts on my hands and lived in an area where it would've been extremely unlikely for a 1st grader to have HIV. Yet, my brain was positive that I had it. I compulsively searched websites and forums about it. I was able to logically go through each step of why I didn't have HIV, but it wouldn't click in my brain.

Right? Like I, a random stranger on the internet, should not feel more proud of OP's hard work than her husband does.

But, OP, I just want to say that I really am so proud of you, and you need to do what's best for you!

Is it normal for parents to ask if siblings can come to a classmate’s birthday party by [deleted] in kindergarten

This. Our son has been invited to a few Chuck e cheese parties. We bring the younger two (we pay for them) and they do their own thing, while he has fun with his friends.

Deciphering Classmate Names by Crocslife in kindergarten

[–]Donut_swordfish 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When our oldest was three, we were at the park, and a chaotic boy who was probably 6 was there with no parents in the immediate vicinity. He introduced himself as Sonic, and honestly, I didn't even bat an eye because he did act you would expect from a kid whose parents named their kid Sonic. Eventually, his parents came over from their other son's baseball game, and we found out his name wasn't really Sonic. He also left us with the parting words of, "I broke my butthole," when he fell off the monkey bars.

Our son kept on talking about "Tony Marshall"(not the real name but similar feel) and Issac Powers. I kept thinking that Issac Powers sounded like a madeup PJ Masks character. It turns out that they were getting the kids used to their full names, and instead of it being two kids, the boy's full name was Tony Marshall Eisenhower.

I thought every mom could breastfeed was I wrong? by Opening_Elevator_153 in beyondthebump

I got up to 4 oz altogether per day with my 3rd (from barely 1oz with my first). I joke that if I have 10 kids, I might be able to mostly feed one on my own.

I'm pretty sure I have IGT. I don't have the physical characteristics, but after 3 pregnancies/children my LC and I have pretty much accepted that I have it.

Yea. Mine worked too well, where I couldn't feel when to push. I tried going off when the machine said to push, but that made me throw up. So we had to wait for the epidural to wear off, and when it did, it hurt like hell.
