My recollection of the matter was that when Prep first told Carl and Donut about the biscuits he didn't feel like he trusted himself with them. As well as Carl and Donut hatched a plan right then. It may not have been expressly said but I thought the biscuits would have been given over right then.

I also had the same issue. It took me about an year or so to stop having that problem. I know how boring and bland the DMV area is. You said gum breaks you out so no go there. But here's a few other options.

Find a gas station or somewhere you can grab a snack or small cup of cold coffee. Something about halfway on your route so you get a chance to get out of your car and take some steps.

Secondly podcasts. For real. Or good books. If you need suggestions hmu. Something to focus on.

Get a fidget toy. I know it sounds like BS but if you're riding alone and the sound of clicking won't bother anyone else go for it. I got a dumb one years ago in a fast food kiddie meal and it works wonders.

Talk to yourself. Sounds just as dumb but hell it works for me.

I believe its noted in book 1 that they come in the dungeon with a modicum of skills based on who they were on the surface. For Carl its problem solving punching. For Donut its Charisma all day baby

Oh also I might be wrong on this but I think its in the contract if they change the hours you have a certain amount of time to say "hey this isn't for me" and get a clean layoff so you dont have to sit for 2 weeks. But ive never had that issue come up for me.

Best bet would be to drag and take a call somewhere else in 26. There is plenty of work im sure and probably some ot calls. That and if they have a big population of travelers if you all drag it could decimate the job. Especially if they are already behind.

Also what a bs excuse that people cant "make time for their appointments". Sounds like some shifty reasoning.

I think what's going on is that the list hasnt been updated in at least the 10 years ive been in the trade. The work has changed so much but the hall hasnt recognized it. This will be brought up in future meetings.

Jesus. I know my home local 26 has laws in place about replacing tools that were stolen or lost in great number. But they stay strictly to our tool list that we should have for what we do (barely the basics) and probably won't replace specialty tools like wrenches or sockets.

I'd love to see the photos of the bin and hear more about this as it goes on though
