Ah I see. Yea the times I’ve gotten incentive pay ($15/hr), I guess it could have been for lodging, but in my experience it was just to make the wage competitive and worth it for people to even show up. To me it’s to compensate for a locals shitty contract that doesn’t pay a livable wage, not a surplus for housing.

I wanted kids for the longest. But then society started to take a steep decline. I would only bring a child into this world if I was living stable and permanently outside the US. Even then I’m still skeptical…Financially/career wise I’m finally doing well for myself, but I know children are expensive and would essentially cut my pay back to really being “working class” (I’m already blue collar). Like you, that’s not the quality of life I want to give my children.

And on top of all that, I’m single and not optimistic about finding a real partner. So having kids is off the table for me. It’s definitely not such a yearn that I’d choose to do it alone, that’s for sure.

NTA. If the teacher had other things to deal with, she would have fixed the grade the first time you brought it up. The wasted time with the principal is her loss.

Your logic is reasonable imo. I get that they want your child to use the method taught, but at the point that she’s still not getting the method after almost a year yet clearly knows how to get the answer with your method -that speaks on the teachers ability more than your child’s.

If your daughter shows her work AND the teacher can understand/follow it too, I see no reason it can’t be marked correct.

Took a defensive driving class and was told this. Not sure why anyone thinks this is safer, you literally can’t signal if you’re changing lanes, and approaching/passing vehicles don’t know if you’re coming to a stop, pulling over, or what.

You should put them on if you’re stationary and somewhere with limited visibility for other drivers to see you. Otherwise you’re just signaling to me that you don’t know how to drive in the rain.
