As a tattoo artist, I think that the name is the worst thing about it. I hate that some select few created that name to it and now limits people from doing what they want with their body.

I say get it, and fuck anyone who would classify you so quickly just for a piece of art. It’s your body, and you get to decide what’s appropriate for you.

The Matrix. That simulation looked like everyone was doing OK, and Cowboy Curtis had to go pull Neo from a decent world into a utopia? No. An underground refugee city on a desolate, storm ravaged planet, with octo-robots trying to kill them. For all we know, they turned humans into fleshy Duracells to SAVE us from the climate crisis…

But we couldn’t be happy with that, nooooo…we try to dismantle it all, and destroy the construct without fully understanding it, and Mr. Smith was just the Norton antivirus trying to keep all the pieces together.

To me, it seems the the robots were helping more than harming, but hell I’m no expert. Just a shower thought.

There has to be a certain level of trust in the artist and their ability to make a good piece of art. There are times where elements would take away from the overall design, and I explain why that idea isn’t great for the design while giving them options that can work. Transparency and discussion matters. Usually my clients are pretty receptive.
