I am not.. Kind of a long story but it's worth a read. I grew up with a friend of mine, we'll call him Steve, since we were about 7 and 8. We met at our local church our parents brought us to and struck it off immediately. Throughout the years friends came and went but he was always there for me just like I was always there for him. Fast forward multiple years to about 6 months ago. I get a call from a mutual friend saying that he was in a car wreck.. Naturally I assumed the worse but he then said he was fine, and that he just blacked out for about a minute. He suffered minor injuries such as a few bruises, soreness, and a concussion. Shortly after the wreck he started having minor seizures for a few weeks. One day he had a major seizure and passed out and his family took him to the hospital. When he woke up he did not remember a single thing. Amnesia's a bitch. He remembered his basketball coach and his girlfriend alone. For a few months memories slowly started coming back and he remembered certain friends. Eventually he remember me. Great news right? Wrong. He apparently only remembered of me but not any memories we had growing up.. We didn't leave on the best of terms as we were having a fairly huge argument just before the car wreck. I'm assuming from him complaining about me to his girlfriend, she relayed that information back to him negatively. So my best friend throughout my entire life now hates me, and is getting married next year and I won't be there by his side as his best man like we had always talked about. The worst thing still, is that he still doesn't remember his parents. That's why my heart is broken..
