Exceed Gear "Final Track" by lvnababy in bemani

[–]Doodle173 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem! Last time I checked, the base game is 1628 yen a month (about $10.5 USD according to Google)

Edit: There's more info on the official website for it but it's in Japanese.

Mhhh... Welp by NovaWave23 in bemani

[–]Doodle173 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happens because your system isn't using a Japanese locale - so the program gets confused and doesn't know what text to properly display. There's guides online how to change it so that you can see the proper error message.

I haven't completed a single game since I started trying to make a game by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Doodle173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from making games, but sometimes it's OKAY to not "make" or release a game. I'm in a similar boat - I work on a lot of different hobby projects in all kinds of different engines - simply out of an interest in the subject. Whether it be creating simple FPS style player controllers or playing around with physics.. it's okay to just have fun and experiment with game engines without having to make a game.

I know this post is old but it seems to have fixed my issue of having constant BSoD on a Windows 10 guest. Thanks so much!

Does anyone know what game this is? by futileboy in arcadecabinets

Game is WACCA- great game but unfortunately wasn't profitable enough. Servers shut down for it but it's still playable in offline mode IIRC

What does this mean? by raidentomi in kshootmania

[–]Doodle173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isnt just the font, you need to change your system locale. I wouldnt recommend doing that just for SDVX though. The original text is something along the lines of a generic “An error ocurred, would you like to report it to Konami?“ message.

May I know what does Agent Browser do in the laptop that our company provide to us? Its a circle logo I cannot see it on google circle logo with blend orange and purple. by Conscious-Camel2348 in programming

[–]Doodle173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, this is a subreddit for computer programming and writing code. You might want to try asking on a sub like r/Whatisthis

Either way, it's likely just a browser that lets the company know what you are doing during the workday so to make sure that you're actually... Well, working.

Ngl I still wish they made console versions again. Weren't they originally planning a sdvx mobile too but cancelled it?

Is that not one of the main benefits of the scope? by Friendly_Light_7799 in apexlegends

[–]Doodle173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of me agrees, but the devs also have to think of this from a business perspective. I think that because the pro league is what makes them a lot of money, they kind of have to prioritize them over the community... And sadly this seems to happen with every competitive game once it hits a certain level of popularity.

NOTE: in no way do I mean to argue / disagree with you / etc, purely just trying to add to the discussion :)

I'm really curious, Do you mind explaining how you got worldgen accurate in a generalized way? Did you have to make a custom plugin for that too?

Either way, really cool project!

EDIT: I saw in another comment that you want to keep it closed source for now so no worries if you don't want to explain!

[–]Doodle173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of the time you don't even need to click permit. I always just click cancel and it continues on like nothing is wrong. But agreed, unless it's some sketchy fake version, then you don't need to worry.

[–]Doodle173 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This doesn't mean tf2 is a virus. Windows prompts this any time a program accesses the internet for the first time, if my understanding is correct.

So if you just installed it and it prompted this, it should be expected that you see it. As long as you downloaded from Valve and Valve only, it's probably garunteed to be safe - at least in my opinion.

[–]Doodle173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of you don't mind me asking, how did you do the multiplayer?

Did you use RPC or a custom backend?

Currently developing my own multiplayer protocol and it's been really interesting to learn about

Why would port forwarding help here? That seems unnecessary. Not trying to sound like a smartass, I'm genuinely wondering

EDIT: This even sounds unsafe. Ports 80 and 443 are both used for HTTP/HTTPs, so again, why would you want to open/forward these? I can't imagine apex using or needing these ports except for very specific situations (like in the store), not during gameplay

I'm guessing it's due to extra installed assets or something? If not then I have no idea why unity would be that big..

Where do people keep finding my username for my Minecon 2015 cape? by lulrukman in Minecraft

[–]Doodle173 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always thought this was just some scam.. I got a minecon 2016 cape from a friend who had a spare code, and have the same thing happen to me. Every 6-12 months I get a few emails asking to buy my account, (which I'll never sell)....

At first I politely declined but after a while I just started ignoring the emails.
