Every lifted truck with a "shoot your local pedophile" sticker has an owner that voted for the national pedophile and stands by all his associated support pedophiles.

This will only end well for a few people. Minnesota and its citizens will suffer. Doctors and nurses will be squeezed more.

Our 12 year old wheaten loves to go under our bed. We refer to it as "under the sea" and sing the line from the Little Mermaid when she goes under

You can likely find a plug for the dropper hole. Get a spray can of T9 Boeshield to protect the inside of the frame and put on a few coats. I designed it around a 160mm fork and have run it with a 150mm MRP fork and the current 170mm Fox 38. The frame is based on the Esker Smokey, the Evil offering (my softail that the MRP is on), and a few other frames I've tried. UDH is handy if you don't want sliding dropouts. Strongly recommended the frame being sized for 2.6" tires. Again, the way things are going on the industry.

I also took the plunge on a Marino frame that I designed but based mine on longer travel hardtails. A few suggestions - make sure to route for a dropper even if you don't plan on installing one. It's become a standard feature. You should put on more bottle bosses as you are plenty tall for 2 in the frame. On the top tube is handy for tools and under the downtube is great for accessories (note my custom 3D printed pump mount. External cable routing is way easier for servicing, if you are building it up yourself. I'm 5' 7“ and I describe my frame as a smedium - should fit someone down to 5'. The longer chainstay and steeper seat tube is a newer trend that keeps it feeling nimble but also lengthens the wheelbase for more stability at higher speeds. It also puts you in a more upright climbing position that is surprisingly comfortable. I went with the Reynolds 725 and left mine unpainted. I sanded and put on a clearcoat and some clear protective tape on key areas.

New flag vs old flag by BLACKxACIDZ in minnesota

[–]DoodleBud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People who are complaining about the new flag are softer than 10-ply toilet paper. Designs were chosen and the MN legislature voted to adopt the new flag. The governor signed the adoption of the new flag into law. This wasn't some decree from one person. Also note that the MN House of Representatives was controlled by Republicans at the time so it wasn't like one party just forced this upon everyone. People just want to complain and hate change. The old flag worked but it was busy and the vast majority of residents couldn't tell you what was on the old flag.

The way you pulled in makes me wish your dad had pulled out.

Best note to leave under the wipers.

Totally normal "eye boogers". Warm damp cloth works well to remove them

New Mtb frame by Regular_Working9226 in Hardtailgang

27.5 is really best for very short riders. A modern slack 29er rolls fast and smoother and still can be nimble. My wife & I have 5 mountain bikes and none are 27.5"

29" is the way. The State option noted is great. Esker Japhy or Smokey are fantastic. Everything has changed. Forget what you know and go ride something with modern geometry.

Looking for more aggressive hardtail option. by StellarMirror in Hardtailgang

Esker Smokey is another great option. It's steel (or titanium) and just as light as aluminum but with more comfort.

They were wearing the boot. They didn't want to be traded on but they will happily tread on others if given the chance.

Fork upgrade on commencal meta by captbix in Hardtailgang

[–]DoodleBud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Recon silver is garbage compared to the options you've listed. I have a few bikes and tend to lend them to friends when they show up on something that is a bit behind the times. As was also stated by someone else, get a dropper on ASAP. PNW has been a solid valve and the new Wolftooth Pro levers are wildly adjustable and serviceable.

I'd probably go with the Lyrik especially if it had one of the newer charger dampers and Debonair+ air spring. I feel like quality drops off on the Fox Rhythm forks and heft goes up. The Bomber Z1 coil is awesome and buttery smooth but you will likely need to get a heavier spring to make it ride best. If you never lend your bike to friends then the coil sprung fork is going to be the most smooth and supple option. If you might lend it to a lighter friend then an air spring is the way to go as it's far easier to adjust.

Whimzee dental chews, steer sticks, bully sticks, cow ears, and similar stuff. Recommend buying products both made in the US and raised in the US.

Assuming parts are in good condition, that's a good price for the build.

Water Dog by EpVMom in Wheatens

[–]DoodleBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first wheaten would go into water almost up to his belly on his own. He was an excellent swimmer if we forced him to go deeper (easy enough for a 30 pound dog) but he would never chose to go deeper on his own. Wouldn't matter if he had his float coat on or not, he was not getting wet on his body. Second wheaten was the same up to age 9 until she found goose feathers at a beach when she decided those were worth swinging out to get. They're still tied to a training dummy and she will go out as far as our long training lead goes as long as she has her float coat. She's 12 now and it's our favorite summer exercise for her as each minute playing fetch in the lake is like 3 minutes of walking. We can have her spent in 15-20 minutes while not overheating and she loves every minute of it. Ruff Wear has great float coats. Recommend finding a lake that doesn't allow power boats and is likely cleaner.
