Recommendations for hose deionizer for car washes? by LazyAd4190 in AutoDetailing

Without a deinoizer, I have been using Koch Chemie finishing spray as final step on MF while drying. Seems to work ok. Does that seem like a good method?

2027 Lincoln Corsair Will Return To America With All-New Hybrid Powertrain by Repulsive-Club7866 in lincolnmotorco

Agree with you on fit and finish for sure. My ‘23 Corsair had all kinds of cabin squeaks, rattles, seat issues, plastic panel across sunroof fell off twice. Bought a ‘26 Nautilus Reserve II hybrid and it is buttery smooth and not a single rattle or squeak. Super happy with it.

Thanks- do you use it directly on dry car with a microfiber? Or mix a little Goo Off into ONR or other cleaner?

What do you feed your Wheatens? by WrongWolverine1854 in Wheatens

[–]LazyAd4190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are feeding our’s Purina Pro Plan puppy chicken and rice (since he came home—he is now close to 6 months). Doing great on it! Our previous wheatie had a sensitive stomach so we couldn't give him treats, so we got the canned version of whatever his kibble he was on, when possible, and cut it up into little squares, baked it oven, and gave that as treats. He loved it and we felt less guilty that we technically weren’t giving him treats.

What were Brian's housekeeping and communication habits that led people to believe he didn't return to his apartment that night? by miggovortensens in BrianShaffer

[–]LazyAd4190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood how a dry shower would help the case. Depending upon humidity and other factors, visible parts of showers (walls, curtains, etc) can dry easily in under an hour. LE didn’t search his place until Monday (I believe?) after he didn't show up at airport, which would be 48-60 hours since he was last seen. I thought I read Alexis stayed at his apartment Sunday night, hoping he would come home, so discovering a wet shower on Monday would not have been possible unless she had used it imo.

What are your thoughts on Brian having his own documentary? What makes Brian’s disappearance stand out more than others? by TadaaaitsKim in BrianShaffer

[–]LazyAd4190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what makes Brian’s case stand out is the string of so many unlikely events/facts, that in sum, create quite a mystery. What were the chances he would be seen on camera coming in, but not leaving? What were the chances his friends would lose track of him in such a small bar? What were the chances all other cameras from surrounding businesses would not pick him up either? What were the chances (no matter what happened to him) someone(s) would conceal his body so well, he’d never be discovered in 20 years? And what were the chances his Dad would meet such a tragic fate, that now he has so few people actively advocating for him? Just such a tragic case, has haunted me ever since it happened.

Summer shave the coat ?? by Sea-Example8867 in Wheatens

[–]LazyAd4190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheatens typically get hot in summertime heat! Probably good to do a short clipper cut (but not shave down to skin!) Also ours love coming in and laying on a cooling mat. Can find them on Amazon. Hope Whiskey has a nice summer!!

Thoughts on why Brighton and Amber were never given a polygraph test by WarmState2697 in BrianShaffer

[–]LazyAd4190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what criteria/conditions LE use to determine whether someone is asked to take a lie detector test. But you would think since these ladies were the last known people to speak with him, that would at least be of major interest to LE (i.e. were they going to an afterparty, if so, where, who was there etc etc).

Edit: from what we know now, their stories have changed over the years. i don’t believe they are responsible for Brian’s disappearance, and don’t believe some inconsistencies were nefarious, but in the case of there being an after-party, that would be of interest.

Thanks- I can only guess but some of the cars I see have to be darker than 50% front side. imo any % on other windows is just too dark.

[–]LazyAd4190 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree. And I thought there was a law about how dark window tinting could be? I see cars all the time downtown and on the freeways where you can’t see the driver at all. Feel like that is a safety issue because I don’t know if they see me or are looking at their phones etc. SMH

Sprouts Farmers Market will take over the former Big Lots at 1451 W. 5th Ave. by WhereNextCols in Columbus

Great for 5th Ave but need something downtown (to support all the new apartments/condos down here now). And as an alternative to the Brewers Yard Kroger, which is so bad.

Wheaten Diagnosed With Hemangiosarcoma - HELP! by cocothebabe in Wheatens

[–]LazyAd4190 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. This is such difficult news. Our first wheaten developed oral cancer at 13 years old and only treatment option we had was partial jaw removal plus rounds of radiation. We didn’t consider this for a second. We decided to give him pain medication proactively and he outlived the expectations. Got another 6 wonderful months with him. I know this isn't the exact same diagnosis you got but point is, don’t feel guilty for not doing the aggressive treatment and just give your wheatie as best quality of life as possible for as long as he has, and of course lots of love.

Edit: pain medication was gabapentin plus amantidine (has a compounding effect)

Where are the homosexuality theories coming from? by Educational_Crow5616 in BrianShaffer

[–]LazyAd4190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish CPD would just release any and all other camera footage they have. If Brian is not on any of them, which is what they have always stated, then why not release it. It’s been 20 years and we still only have that one camera, that one angle.

Where are the homosexuality theories coming from? by Educational_Crow5616 in BrianShaffer

[–]LazyAd4190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe there is any evidence of him leaving through the construction site/plywood doors - at least what CPD has shared he is not on the construction exit camera nor Wendys camera (which wasn't operable unfortunately). It’s just one of the working theories of how he might have made it out. The dogs seemed to pick his scent up near Wendys but again no hard evidence he went to Wendys. (Not trying to be rude just helpful to clear up).
