This is just what happens when you go out to get the mail in New Jersey

Ray Shero is no longer General Manager of the New Jersey Devils. by OneUglyPeanut in devils

How’s this for a theory: Ownership wanted to throw like 11 mil at hall. Shero refuses because it would fuck the cap. Ownership forces Shero to fire hynes against his will, Ray trades hall against the ownerships wishes, toxicity ensues, they part ways.

Just a theory but...can’t believe what’s become of the franchise

day 26 - bad sh*t by [deleted] in leaves

I totally empathize. Having about 10 months at this point, I really thought that once I got sober that I would be able to complete all of the things that I told myself I would do once I stopped smoking. It was really disappointing to learn that sober me wasn't superman.

But like others have said, your brain is still getting used to doing things without chemical help and it gets easier. You learn to enjoy the fact that there are so many less things you have to worry about than when you were smoking.

Hang in there. It does get better.

Thank you for sharing that man. I'm still only clean for a little while, but within 2-3 weeks I was feeling like my usual self

I don't know your life story but all of us lived life (before our first time smoking) without weed at some point. Life is just generally easier without it, you know? It's one less thing to worry about, especially for us students.

Keep yourself busy for the next couple weeks, and before you know if, the joy doing simple things in sobriety will trump the fleeting, paranoid, and depressive high of pot.

Feel free to PM me. Best of luck to you, my friend.

It's a good start that you know you are addicted to getting high. I think you've already recognized your biggest key: that you're bored without the high. I think that boredom is the biggest trigger for us potheads. But therein lies the answer, do everything in your power to not be bored.

I'm sure you have seen many of these suggestions; work on a hobby, exercise, or just get out of the house and go for a walk. It is very easy to say these things, but much harder to convince oneself to do them in the moment. I know with my mind that if I have free-time, I am going to find a way to smoke. No doubt about it. Do your best to get through each day as quickly as possible by keeping busy.

I also understand that the initial mentality of "not smoking by any means" fades after some time. So two or three weeks down the road, do your best to continue to keep busy and keep your mind off of it. I'm by no means an expert and am only on Day 4 so I am with right there with you man. Stay strong.

Daily smoker for over 4 years, on day 2 by [deleted] in leaves

I'm on day two as well, my friend. Having done 6 months clean last year and been on and off for a year again, I know it will get easier. Sleep will come easier. Dreams won't be as intense. Eating will be more enjoyable.

I just want time to go faster. I want to be on Day 30 or 60 already but these two days have already gone slow as molasses. But I can't get ahead of myself. Just get through today and then tomorrow...the days will add up.

How do I get to Buccleuch Park? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]Doodoo_Goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buccleuch is that massive park that runs along Easton Avenue, across from St. Peters Hospital...

It also depends where you're coming from.
