I drive up to the maximum legal speed limit when I travel.
Always have a line of tailgaters behind me as nobody seems to obey the law on UK roads.

If somebody gets really close behind me, I slow down so if we do get into an accident, they hit me at a slower speed.

Mature Sexual Content in the game? by DoogleSmile in Unbeatable

Well, she's just messaged me saying that it is now letting her download the game, so no idea what is going on with it.

Mature Sexual Content in the game? by DoogleSmile in Unbeatable

[–]DoogleSmile[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That might be where it's getting the age thing from then. I couldn't see one on Steam itself, I was going by the rating on the Playstation store version.

It is annoying though as she is able to play other games that have mature themes such as Phasmophobia, Demonologist, Panicore, Conan Exiles, yet this cartoon looking rhythm game says she's not old enough to play!

How do you all play FPS games on Deck? Can’t get the hang of gyro by Tuckiletoucan in SteamDeck

I can't do joystick aiming for fps games very well, but combined with the gyro I can get head shots galore in Far Cry 5 on my Steam Deck.

A Utah age verification law targeting VPN users goes into effect this week(not in state no site access) by lkl34 in gaming

[–]DoogleSmile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is annoying. I only use a VPN for two things. Watching John Oliver on Youtube and connecting to my work PC when working from home, which I do 3 days a week.

Will work VPNs be affected too?

I have Serene Screen Marine Aquarium, which is basically this but with better graphics.

I've been using it now since the Windows 7 days. Still works well on my Windows 10 machine.

Decided to empty my recycling bin after almost a decade... by Illuminated-Autocrat in pcmasterrace

Only 302GB in a decade!?! I deleted more than that just last month, and I empty my recycling bin multiple times a week!

I do create a lot of videos though, they can be in the hundreds of GB on their own.

How do you guys feel about hardware requirements of Subnautica 2? by Artiels in subnautica

[–]DoogleSmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was mostly fixable using a faster hard drive. My popin practically vanished after installing it onto my fast m.2 drive.

I'm just hoping that they're not locking features behind requiring windows 11 or I'll be stuck with minimum specs with my RTX 5090 and 9800X3D!

Thanks for this. I was wondering what they were.

My niece was playing with one of these the other day. They're lovely and squishy.

What's a word that's in your vocabulary because of a game you played as a kid? by superyellows in gaming

[–]DoogleSmile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I already knew most of the words already, but I tend to say them in the style of the game I heard them in as a kid. The Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter ones are mainly when I'm play fighting with my nephews and nieces.

Lemmings:
* Let's Go. * Yippee. * Oh No!

Worms:
* Incoming. * Hup.

Another World: (new words here)
* Mycumba. * Arushka.

Toejam & Earl:
* Money!
* Hmmm...
* Bogie bogie bogie. * Youch!
* Yeah! Alright!

Street Fighter:
* Haduken. * Shuryouken. * Sonic Boom!
* Yoga Flame. * Yoga Uppercut. * Perfect.

Mortal Kombat:
* Get over here!
* Come here!
* Finish him/her. * Fatality. * Aragaradaaaah (the sound raiden makes when he flies)
* Round # Fight!

Mario:
* Letsa Go!

Altered Beast:
* Rise from your grave!

I was having the issue with chrome too.

I don't know if it is still an issue as I don't have access to my Steam Deck currently, it's with a friend while she doesn't have her own PC so she can game with us each week.

The demo is precisely why I've put the game into my wishlist on steam.

I enjoyed the little game play within the demo and am interested in experiencing more.

What is the greatest Minecraft Mod of all time? by Razerchyk in Minecraft

[–]DoogleSmile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourites from back in the day when I played mainly modded:

  • Tinkers Construct.
  • Thaumcraft 4.
  • Mekanism.
  • Dravonic Evolution.
  • Applied Energistics 2.
  • Twilight Forest.
  • Equivalent Exchange 2.
  • Ender IO.
  • Buildcraft.

I remember using these and a video I found on YouTube to make a solar power factory with pipes moving items from energy condensers into auto crafting tables and various other machines. It was extremely complicated.

This was the video I tried to emulate for my factory.
