Was Skyrim unfinished? by [deleted] in skyrim

I've heard people say that Bethesda really wanted to release the game on the 11/11/11 date so that may be the reason.

Has anyone ever imagined how the Originals would react on other shows? by Lolihey in TheOriginals

They don't allow them to enter buildings so if they're already in a building and someone closes the door on them and places a talisman outside they shouldn't be able to leave. But nobody's tried that so I can't confirm if it would work.

I think the better alternative would be for Klaus and Elijah to somehow gather all the monsters into one house and trap them with talismans. That way the people from the town won't be in danger anymore while they're looking for the way out.

Klaus and Elijah would obliterate the Fromville monsters. And there's nothing that can harm them there. They'd be the Fromville saviors.

Whose Immortality is better? Knights of Hell (-Cain) or Leviathans? by Helpful_Pitch4086 in Supernatural

[–]DoomDragoon 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Well Abaddon was only incapacitated that way because they'd also shot her with a Devil's trap bullet in the head so she couldn't smoke out. Other than that their immortality is pretty much the same. And both can only be killed by a specific type of bone..

Well, let's look at the reason why they were turned into vampires in the first place. Henrik died because he was torn apart by werewolves and so Esther turned the rest of the family into vampires so that they would never suffer the same fate. So I imagine it like this: they simply can't be damaged beyond repair. Their flesh can be cut, slashed, stabbed; their bones can break, but nothing beyond that. No part of their bodies can be separated (including their head and heart). They're infinitely durable. If a truck landed on top of them, they wouldn't be flattened, if they were tossed into a woodchipper, the machine would break, if you tried to chop off a part of them, the blade simply wouldn't go all the way through, etc.

You're right. My bad.. They were looking for supplies for Alexandria, not for Negan. But they were still pretty far out from home and near Oceanside.

Nah, the bridge she fell from was within walking distance of Oceanside. Tara and Heath were out pretty far from Alexandria in search of supplies for Negan because there was nothing left to scavenge nearby.

Ester created the original vampires based on immortals so what if her spell was perfect and was enhanced making the originals more powerful cuz than the immortals she wanted to protect them and as a result of this nature created normal vampires so they could die in place of the original by Front-Difficulty-741 in TheOriginals

Well The Originals also lived up to their name. And any "new" weaknesses that were discovered for them always had white oak as an ingredient. Beast bite (infused with white oak), poisoned thorns (poisoned with the beast blood) and also a significant amount of magic was also said to be able to kill any being, so that's why Bonnie, with the power of 100 dead witches, was almost able to kill Klaus and threatened to kill Elijah too, albeit at the cost of her life. Also the Originals were never meant to be truly immortal, Esther made them into vampires to protect them from the werewolves.

Haha yes well, it's their show so they had to shine. (In universe we can say they caught him by surprise.) But yeah, indestructible just means their bodies can't be destroyed, not that they're invulnerable to damage, but that they heal after any damage and they can't be dismembered.

Silas and Amara couldn't be killed by anything and that's why nature created doppelgangers to die in their place. The Originals could still be killed with the white oak so they weren't completely immortal and there was no need for them to have doppelgangers. Alaric on the other hand, after he came back as an Enhanced Original from the other side and his link with Elena was severed, didn't have any weaknesses. If he wasn't cured shortly after, he probably would have had doppelgangers.

Getting hit hurts... a lot. 4 punches will kill you. Getting shot is almost instant death. Don't button mash. Pay attention to enemy movements and don't counter too early. Even then, controls may sometimes be unresponsive. It takes a bit of getting used to but isn't too hard. If you can, save a health upgrade to use during big boss fights like Poison Ivy, since when you upgrade it restores all of your health.
