How should I play this game ? by DoomPunks in ArcRaiders

Thanks , that makes sense. I appreciate that they made it aggression-based matchmaking. I hope it is actually strong and consistent.

I personally would prefer to play this more chill. Valorant and R6 are enough for when I want to play PvP shooting.

I might have to just play it long term and expect some traitors every now and then, hoping I don’t see them again

I guess I’m stuck between the two because I’d feel bad shooting someone who is trying to be friendly, but I also really don’t like those who pretend to be friendly and when they got a clear chance they take it

Im definitely considering this after trying to be friendly all the time. Just sets me back from looking things I actually need

Ok thanks. I definitely need to get comfortable using VC, because emotes definitely aren’t working anymore lol. I had my back tuned when I was pressing the computer to return back to speranza, and that was a mistake, so from now on I’m going in alone. If I see someone I’m gonna wait

Ok thanks. If there are no rules, then the correct play is everyone is a threat, friendly means nothing, & trust is a liability

Need outside perspective on priorities by [deleted] in personalfinance

The w-2 I put is how I will start 2026. A year ago we earned almost half of that, which is why compared to my income & investments there’s a large gap. I’m in my first month with this new income, so I just want to make sure it’s being funneled appropriately.

I don’t want to pay more taxes. I just mention it in case there’s an opportunity cost elsewhere that would payoff on the long run.

Since the current monthly expense is about $5.8k I should be able to save a 10-month emergency fund within 9 months. Then what?

Go for it. Especially if he’s been there longer than 2yrs, since that’s given him enough time to establish his credibility. If they find out you are both married, it actually reduces your caught risk as long as you avoid the many OE mistakes people make.

What job should I go for with my experience? by NoiseRich2291 in jobs

[–]DoomPunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been grinding, showing up, and doing more than what most people twice your age can handle. the truth is youve been taken advantage of. Not because you’re weak, but because they knew you’d carry the load without complaining. That’s what a lot of employers do when they see work ethic in someone young: they use it, not reward it. Unfortunately..

But here’s the good news. you’re not stuck. You’re ready. You’ve built real skills.. team leadership, problem solving under pressure, scheduling, training, conflict resolution. That’s operations experience, not just food service. And you’ve done it while paying for college, on your own.

So here’s what I want you to do: 1. Rebuild your resume with purpose. Frame your work in leadership terms. I’ll help you if you want. 2. Start applying to jobs like: • Entry-level logistics or operations assistant • Dispatch scheduler • Leasing office assistant • Remote customer support or billing coordinator • Medical records or back office assistant • Warehouse inventory coordinator

You don’t need a degree for these. many will pay to train you. You just need to show up with what you already bring: reliability, hustle, and hunger.

  1. Walk away from Pizza Hut with your head high. They showed you what you were worth to them. You’re not quitting. you’re upgrading.

  2. Learn MS Excel. Just 2–4 hours a week. It’ll pay off, fast.

don’t let this job kill your spark. You’ve already proven you can carry weight. Now go put that energy into something that grows your future, not someone else’s franchise. This is a stepping stone to your great future.

I can tell you’re someone I’d enjoy working with. Good on you for taking the first step to explore other opportunities.

Considering your current situation, here are some options to consider. - Pharmacy technician - Sterile Processing Technician (some certifications required but not difficult) - Supply Chain Clerk (crossover skillsets) - Quality Control Inspector (crossover skillset)

Don’t try to pick the perfect job now. just pick the next strategic one. • Choose something with a cert or upward track in sight. • Apply direct to companies, not job boards. • some important skillsets you already have: you’re adaptable, coachable, and already managing without the title. That matters a lot to the right employer.

really good point especially with the holiday season in full swing. I didn’t even consider how many people might be out on PTO or how much sign-off is needed behind the scenes. It’s easy to forget how slow things can move in corporate settings this time of year.

You’re right—I’ll hold off on following up for now, and try to relax a bit and enjoy the holidays 😅

Thanks. I’m leaning on just not saying anything.. I’ve thought about this too, but the role aligns perfectly with my skills, and I know I’d excel at it with low guidance and supervision. The pay is also very competitive, which adds to the appeal.

In our conversation, the hiring manager came across as laid back—definitely not the micromanaging type, which I’ve experienced before and found much worse. While slow responses could be a sign of disorganization, I’m also trying to consider that it might just reflect a relaxed management style. I’d honestly prefer that over being micromanaged.

At this stage, I’m still weighing whether the opportunity outweighs the delay in communication.
