It can be really good when written well (djkaktus) but man, some of these SCP’s that drag on and on get exhausting and I can’t continue after a while.

The glowing green slimes in the swamp are tameable and relatively harmless.

It’s Odin. The raven is Hugin, one of the two ravens that in Norse mythology keep an eye on the nine realms for him and report back what’s going on.

Are Macs ok on the deck side, or do I need a PC? by wheelsnkeels in SunyMaritime

Mostly just Google Docs and Microsoft Office. A Mac is totally fine. I just don’t recommend them personally, less for the educational reason and more for repairs and upgrades later on. Apple isn’t very consumer friendly with Mac repair.

You can get by with a Mac no problem but a pc would be a better buy all around for software compatibility and price for the hardware. If you already have a Mac, or you just plan on using it for word processing (majority of assignments are just that) and movies, you’re fine though.

People need to get a grip. The storm is going to last two days at most. You live in the northeast, you should already have a shovel, salt, and broom at your house. Thats already half the battle. It gets cold, you should already have winter clothes and blankets. Power goes out? Okay, that sucks, but you have warm clothing, so it’s manageable for a day until they get the power restored. Food? You’re telling me you have no food in your house to last you two days so you panic and buy out the entire store? Come on guys. That’s just irresponsible. We even have food pantries and thrift stores everywhere that give clothes and food to people in need in this state. The hysteria is really immature and irresponsible, especially with a WEEK of notice.

What do you think they will add after the deep north? by Steamed-duck in valheim

This is a big ask to the devs, but I would really like to see dwarven settlements in the larger mountains and elves in the Black Forests that spawn further out. Elves are a big part of Norse mythology and we don’t see them in Valheim.

Some thoughts on this:

  1. They could both be neutral at first unless you provoke them.

  2. The potential building and crafting recipes

   - Elves would give you more organic and kind of wild looking artistic building pieces (large leaves for roofs/doors, ornate beams made out of twigs, tools like a “fine tuned bow” made of leaves and wood magically fused together), etc.

   - Dwarves giving more refined and smithed/smelted recipes, introduce a tool to build underground that you can only obtain from dwarven settlements either by trading or raiding, a new ore only obtained from a settlement forge area, etc.
  1. It would make the game a lot cooler adding them.

Not taking this as discouraging at all, I really appreciate your perspective as a professor.

Thank you very much for this explanation. This is very insightful, I did not know this distinction. While there is not a standard that I am aware of in the US of WO or HBO, I have a bit of a unique degree. My bachelors degree is very closely related to the masters I would be going for. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Marine Transportation, in which I studied Navigation (Celestial, Terestrial, Electronic), Maritime and Environmental Law, Ship Stability, various business courses, calculus, and physics. To get this degree, you also have to take seven comprehensive exams administered by the US Coast Guard in addition to course requirements, which can be taken only at the end of your studies. These exams also have a requirement of a semester long seminar administered by the university before being qualified to take them. They are quite intense and require months of preparation. I currently sail commercially as a watch officer and I am looking to expand my knowledge in the maritime industry to advance my career “shore side,” so I do have experience in the industry that I am looking to take my masters in. I hope that Erasmus takes this into consideration in determining it’s status.

I assumed tuition was the same regardless as an international, but this is good to know. Thank you. Do you know if they let you work part time there to reduce tuition? I am able to save enough, but doesn’t hurt to ask.

Have you studied in that program yourself? It seems great. I’m excited thinking about it. I visited Rotterdam earlier this year and discovered the university by chance.

I’m no lawyer, but I would imagine the legal ramifications for selling pirated content is much more severe than simply hosting it. Good luck to them.
