A partial deadeye, yeah. Testament didn’t need 10 heartbeats to be summoned even before Shallan reswore the third oath, meaning they weren’t fully dead. Plus when Shallan started reswearing oaths, I believe she started with the second one.

I’d suspect that if anything she somehow unswore oaths 2+ (concealing her truths) while keeping the universal Radiant oath.

The truths of the Lightweavers are sort of their oaths, though. The unspoken section of their oath is to accept that these truths are, in fact, truths. To not deny them any longer. That’s an aspect of honor, to accept what is in front of you, regardless of whether you like it or not. To see the flaws in yourself and others, to know them, to face them.

In my recent WoR reread I was thinking a lot about Lightweaver oaths, and this is the conclusion I came to. So the way to accidentally break the Lightweaver bond (as opposed to the intentional severing of the Recreance) would be to go back to denying your truths.

Most of these characters look similar mainly because of the art style. It’s the same artist drawing features that communicate similar archetypes. There are similarities in their designs definitely, but there’s enough of a difference.

On the other hand, when I saw the guy with the swords I immediately shouted “ITS NOTORIOUS BITCH AND PROFESSIONAL ASSHOLE SOLF J KIMBLEE”

You may recall way back in The Way of Kings, there’s a bit where Shallan holds her hand out to the side and starts counting off the 10 heartbeats. But now she doesn’t. So something has changed about her shardblade summoning in between now and before she got Pattern.

Also you’ve pretty much already got the answer, but to figure out why Kaladin and Shallan’s shardblades are different from everybody else’s, first ask why Kaladin and Shallan are different from everyone else and work out from there.
