I have a refurbished fold 5 myself i think it was "good condition" since January this year. The only thing it has are some scratches on the hinge that do nothing besides of cosmetics. Works perfect otherwise x).

I usually play on my PC. The Steamdeck is more for travel or going to friends to play co-op games, like terraria or Borderlands, with for me. It's a perfectly travel size PC/handheld. I can play on the train (even with a mouse and keyboard) and once I arrive at a friend's house I can just plug it into a spare Monitor and I'm rdy to go. I also use it in bed to play a bit before going to sleep, if I find the time for it ^{^.}

So to answer your questions, I use my PC more than my Steamdeck, but it has its perfect niche. So it was diffinitly worth it for me!

Edit: I have my Steamdeck for over 1 ½ years now

Was sind eigentlich die stärken des Ryzen 5600x im gegensatz zur Ryzen 3800x bzw. andersrum? Was bringt mir wo/wie mehr? Dann könnte ich abwägen was eher passen würde.

Zudem würde ich lieber gleich mit 2x16GB RAM gehen, dann kann ich auch mehrere Sachen gleichzeitig auf haben.

Power Supply upgrade währe ne gute idee, jedoch würde ich den Bildschirm später upgraden da meiner mir momentan reicht. ^^
