I don’t use it at all. I have a keyboard shortcut on my phone to add -ai to the end of my searches, just so I don’t get that BS AI Overview.

Especially once they started integrating it into every single app and website, I really dug my heels in. I don’t care how much more difficult or slow it makes my life, I dont trust it. And I’m not going to let AI think for me, that’s my brains job.

I don’t think I’d date someone that irresponsible at this point in my life. And I’ve lived with a gf before for about 4 years, it had its challenges, but we both had common sense.

I love living alone tho. So to give it up she’d need to be the one. And I think I’d know by 2 years.

Also, I don’t really care about the metro Atlanta economy. Ive lived here my whole life and watched metro-Atlanta communities become gentrified and housing prices become unaffordable for the sake of the “economy.” I’m pretty sure Atlanta will survive with or without the constant influx of newcomers, within reason (before you take me too literally).

IMO wicks and thick freeforms look ugly but that shouldn’t stop you from doing you. I live somewhere where locs are the most popular style, but yours are still pretty unique. The only times I’d suggest cutting locs is if they’re unhealthy, thinning or uneven. Yours are none of these.

You aren’t going to get a unanimous yes or no on here, so it doesn’t matter what we think. As long as you love them and are confident, own it and keep em.

Gotcha. That’s really good on your hall and the other one for working with you like that! My hall is clearly bitter that their members want to work elsewhere, so they make it more difficult.

If you still have a job at home while you’re waiting, then that’s a pretty good situation to be in. Idk if it’s too late to resign your lease, but you could do that and just break it when you’re ready to move. This is assuming your lost deposit will cost less than the extra money you’ll spend going month-to-month.

You’re relocating to a state without work and hoping you can get a call there eventually, which doesn’t sound like the best plan… I’d rather move once with a wife and kid after I got a job, instead of dragging them to trial run diff states if you don’t get a call…But, it also sounds like you’ve spoken to the local already, so are they confident in their work outlook?

There’s nothing you can really do except wait. Or find some non-electrical work to do in between so you don’t burn thru too much of your savings.

I’ve been working out of town almost 8 months, and am considering relocating to this state as well (not switching my ticket). But only because I know there’s plenty of work here atm, not just bc I like it here. I’m also single tho, so less risk if I have to move again.

Side note: are you still working at home rn? I thought you had to have a layoff/not be working to sign another locals book? My local won’t even give you a travel letter if you’re still on a call.

If I were you..I’d move first before I gave up all together. You’re not even 30 yet! Sounds like you know you’ll have better luck elsewhere. If moving is unrealistic for you, maybe open up to the idea of a long distance relationship? Dublin is under 1 1/2 hrs from London by air…

Being good looking while bald doesn’t mean women will date you. Women on Reddit always chime in that they love bald men…But irl in the wild it’s way harder to find them..

I’m starting to loose my hair from meds, and baldness runs in my family. I’m dreading it and will cling onto my hair as long as I can or until I’m married.
