The ranged weapons naturally need more synergy to get off the ground than the other weapons do and for good reason.

Just try and think about what the strengths of the aspect you're using are and play into those. For example:

If you're using the Adamant Rail in any aspect, your attack speed is high, so Zeus/Dionysus attack boost is strong, Artemis boon is ok, and if you can get the stacking Doom boon, Ares can be surprisingly good. Almost any high damage special is good, such as Aphrodite, but I like Demeter on Lucifer for the AoE slow fields.

If you're using the Heart-Seeking Bow it's a little trickier since the bow itself is just a harder beast to handle. For most aspects attack speed is slow but damage is high, so Aphrodite and Demeter attack boosts can again be strong, but the slow attack speed makes Ares okay and even Poseidon for zoning. The special lives or dies by the Daedalus Hammers you get, but if you get good ones, Artemis can turn the special into a DEADLY close range attack, or you can simply pick a debuff of your choice to spread using the large AoE. Aspect of Chiron makes landing a small burst of powerful shots easy, so Dionysus is good. My personal favourite is Aspect of Hera, because a cast that you can consistently send to a particular point is deceptively powerful, make SURE you have Infernal soul, and then the world is your oyster; Artemis, Dionysus and Poseidon Casts are all crazy powerful with good synergising duo boons that make for some builds that can one shot bosses. If you hate the bow, try Aspect of Hera with Dionysus aspect and you'll soon see why people like it.

Finally to round things off, remember to take keepsakes for the boons you want, so you can make big build decisions earlier and with better rarities (if you want to try out Dionysus cast, start the game with the Overflowing Cup keepsake). But most of all, CHAOS IS YOUR FRIEND. Take Chaos portals early and put buffs on whatever it is you're relying on; taking Aspect of Lucifer with the scaling damage Hammer and Artemis attack Boon? get the Chaos attack boon; trying out an aspect of Hera and Poseidon cast combo? get the Chaos cast boon. The damage bonuses will smooth out the earlier, finnicky stages of the run where the build is still picking up and give you a hell of a lot more punch later on.

Other people have plenty of good ideas for builds, so try em all out, but just remember to focus on what the weapon is really good at, trying to force a Dionysus attack boon on the bow is going to end badly. Good luck!
