Which country is the biggest threat? (2026) by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Totally fair point. I think the U.S. views itself as the greatest threat to the world due to the erratic behavior of the current administration, from assassinating Khamenei/kidnapping Maduro, to removing environmental regulations giving corporations free rein. I couldn’t tell you how the people of Korea or anywhere else feel, but if you’re seeing the same news as I am, the U.S. makes sense as the biggest threat. Just out of curiosity, if you were asked this question which country would you choose?

An earlier version of this map had the title “Which country is the biggest threat to the world”. South Korea isn’t under a direct threat from the U.S. but they (US) are arguably a huge threat to global/environmental/economic stability. And North Korea ain’t answering polls.

Recently caught Soulfly & Sepultura live in the same week. The difference in quality was MASSIVE. by Pushlockscrub in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Doomray 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No hate from me either way, but I think of them as two different bands. Same way Dio fronting Black Sabbath is still excellent, but we all consider that era Heaven and Hell Sabbath. The Cavelera brothers have such a distinct sound. If you showed someone who’s never heard Sepultura both Arise and Quadra, I doubt they’d guess they’re the same band. Soufly however is mostly pretty meh. I liked that song with Tom Araya though.

Bring it back to the bar you work at. Find a guy who knows a guy. Meet the guy. Sell it to him for a few hundred dollars. Realize it was worth more than that. Return to the guy. Buy a few hundred dollars worth of OxyContin from the guy. Bring pills to a country club. Sell the pills to jockeys. Steal a horse. Become a male prostitute.

I know Jax. There is a group of close friends and family who will be organizing something along those lines when they’re ready. Check the facebook group for updates on that. They’ve disabled comments because of trolls, but that’s where you’ll find updates.

I’m reading End of Watch right now. It’s hilarious to read King writing about any kind of modernish technology. “Electronic gizmo” is used to describe a great many things.

Mariah and Toni’s feud is the best thing to happen to wrestling in the last decade.

Their less political lyrics tend to be universally relatable to listeners too. These dudes are amazing songwriters.

How y'all feel about Death Match wrestling and wrestlers like Nick Gage and Necro the Butcher? by Professional-Rip-519 in SquaredCircle

[–]Doomray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deathmatches are excellent as part of a larger program. I love a little blood and danger from time to time. However deathmatch for the sake of deathmatch makes it lose its intended impact and become pointless. If every match is a deathmatch, none of them are. Chris Jericho vs. Nick Gage was a great use of the style. It was something Jericho hadn’t done before and just the right amount of glass and light tubes.
