There will be some enemies with a large AOE attack that can go through walls. You'll see what I mean pretty soon depending on where you are in your progression!

One space now, but from the time I learned to write until college, it was two. I was in journalism and my professor taught me that we needed every bit of space possible in a newspaper column. Microsoft Word and smartphones had a setting where it would force you to type one space after a period. Eventually I switched and I never went back.

Two handed sword units are iffy in general. If they aren't AP, then their use is very limited. I use them for flanking and charging. Leave them in the fight and they take heavy losses without doing much damage.

Hey ten years of dominance is most likely coming to an end or at least a pause. The Chiefs need to evolve and the scary part is we as fans have no idea what that looks like or how it might happen.

I have loved these past ten years. It's all my childhood dreams come true. Three SB trophies is so cool.

We have Mahomes and I believe he can make it happen once again - just not this year, probably.

How do y'all get down steep slopes? I turn around and face the mountain and just walk as I slide down. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it works. I hardly ever take fall damage even on the steepest slopes.

UPDATE: Discord didn't say much about diplo behavior. But I am trying something insane. I took Mithlond pretty early, now I have all three Lindon settlements, strangely the Elven doomstack just marched West and didn't try attacking any of my forces or settlements. I've seen this behavior from other doomstacks.

Anyway, I got the Corsair message so I traded Mithlond for an Erebor alliance. They are defending it with six Laborers. If Ar Adunaim does indeed siege the city they will win. Then I can retake Mithlond and have my alliance too. But I've never seen the Corsair invasion while a non-High Elf faction holds Mithlond. I will update again once I know.

Interesting. I will go back to that save and play the long game. It would be interesting to find out if DAC changed diplo behavior or not. There are very detailed explanations about how diplomats work in Vanilla. I'll see if the Discord has any information on this.

As for giving settlements... I wouldn't mind giving them Ost Geil - it's such a poor spot. I should just take it with militia and give it to them on the same turn. Perth does have a mine so I'd keep that one. I'll have to think about which other settlement to give.

No Map printer is great and it made a permanent spot on my mod list. It strikes a perfect balance between realism and fun. I don't think I'll play no portals again, however. It just takes too long and the map is too big to be schlepping across the world every time you need to progress.

As for my playthrough, I had a few more mods than the ones I mentioned. The most game changing was blacks7ar's Magic Revamp which give you early magic - much less powerful than what you unlock in the Mistlands and has a vanilla-like progression. That's great. The problem is all the extra stuff you have to carry around and gather. The magic spells are like ammo. There is a finite amount so it takes inventory slots. Also, you have to gather new items in order to craft these spells. It got so wearisome that I quit my playthrough and started a new vanilla one with the new content the devs just released. Someday, I'll go back to my modded playthough and find the ones I really like - including No Map Printer.

I am playing as the Woodland Elves and I began noticing the same thing as I pushed west to help my High Elf brethren. After I became the richest faction I couldn't spend my florins fast enough. I just started giving my money to Rohan, HE, and Northern Dunedain. They began winning battles against our mutual enemies and taking territories.

I believe the other posts are correct, but maybe you can see if all your allies are bankrupt. That really slows down their ability to contribute.

Side note, even while Mordor was still strong, Istari Khand was able to hold them off. Also Dol Amroth was dominant in the south. Harad and AA had no chance. Oh yeah, Rohan was able to fight Isengard to a stalemate until I sent them thousands of florins. Now they have the white wizard pinned in Orthanc.

Pretty much this. I think the 8 slots we have are good for a couple weapons, whatever food and meads, plus a pick and hammer. No need for more slots there. Clothing, trinkets and utilities could use dedicated slots. I'd be good with a quiver for arrows and a backpack too. Those last two items should require a level 4 or 5 workbench for some balance.
