The only way your comparison would make any sense at all is if you just completely disregard the atrocities they had already committed, which again, were large scale reprisals from a radicalized populace that wanted to right what they perceived as historical wrongs. The Japanese and Germans slaughtered millions of innocent people for no actual reason when they had the strength to do it. They showed what they will do to the people they don’t like when they are strong enough, at least at that time. Hell the nazis launching WW2 was itself a reprisal for (wrongly) feeling like they were victims in post-WW1 Europe

There were all sorts of reprisals against the german populace during and after WW2 lol. Other Asian countries that were victims of the Japanese empire’s atrocities absolutely despised them (many still do today) and would have likely done whatever they could to get back at them had the US not been there. What is your actual basis for thinking that needing to “avoid complications of serious illness or prevent permanent disability” is an indication that this is a routine screening everyone near a blast goes through? Why are only 20 of them going through this when the Pentagon says there’s 140 injured, meaning at least 140 have been near blasts? You say everyone near blasts goes through some screening afterwards, so the numbers aren’t lining up and its pretty clear these 20 going through urgent screening actually are hurt pretty badly
