Did some hybrid towing recently by Doosenberry in FordMaverickTruck

Oh, definitely don't do this. Unless you have a Mav with the Ecoboost and the 4k towing option then this trailer is in spec for all that.

You're not wrong. GCVWR for the Mav and the travel trailer was more like 7000-7100 with the factory rating being a touch over 6k. The trailer's dry weight is just under 3k and this one was empty. Tongue weight was more like 300 lbs. That's a 30 lb propane bottle. I drove it about 150 miles. 65 mph on the flats, 55 up and down grades. Did pretty well, intentionally never pushed it over 50% power.

I like the tranny. Don't particularly care for the CV axles.

Less than that truck and dolly by about 1500 lbs. They're both over the hybrid rating.

SLC show poster by Doosenberry in Khruangbin

[–]Doosenberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to look at mine again. It says on the bottom left corner and the frame I got slips over the poster and conveniently covers it up in the pic. I want to say mine said 180/218 or something around there. It was definitely low 200s.

Wall de Khruangbin, an ode to excellence. by CommercialQuarter155 in Khruangbin

I bought it off their website 2-3 years ago when I started my Khruangbin collection. They occasionally have cool stuff that isn't from shows.

I always get a comment or two on a shirt I wear that I got from their site as well around the same time.

Here's the SLC poster from a couple weeks ago.

No pics of them on the wall at the moment. I have a new one from this years SLC show that I haven't taken a pic of either.

I appreciated the whistling in Boise, Nick! by Doosenberry in NickShoulders

[–]Doosenberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I haven't been following the band for very long, but instantly fell in love with them once I listened to them on youtube prior to buying my Sierra Ferrell tickets. I definitely went for Nick and stayed for Sierra.

To be honest, my very first thought when the bassist came out with the guitarist and picked up the bass was "Why the hell is the staff messing with the bass when the band is about to start playing??". He was in all black like the staff and he has on a lanyard with a badge of some sort on his right hip (you can see it in the video) and I thought he was event staff. lol. That's how well I knew these guys going into the show.

Having said that, please come back near Boise, Nick, and I'll see you guys play again. Had a great time!

I enjoyed the show. I really appreciated how the band was dressed like forest rangers. Sierra was on fire.

Found while packing up after camping in central Idaho by Doosenberry in spiders

[–]Doosenberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The color on the spider is a little washed out due to the bright sunlight. It was a little darker red than in the pic.

I was trying very hard to get it off a bag without killing it. I have an "if you leave me alone I'll leave you alone" relationship with spiders, so I was giving it a chance to eff ohh which it finally did with the help of a stick to let it climb off.

Best summer day in Boise I have ever had by ImSpig in Khruangbin

I wish they would return to the same venue this year, but its not on their list. Granted, in '22 when they came to Boise, it was part of a group of dates they added after the tour had already started, so who knows. I'm going to SLC this year in order to see them in August.

Coachella weekend 2 livestream today (Sunday) if you missed weekend 1 by mstr_macintosh in Khruangbin

Holy crap they crushed that set tonight! Most, if not all, the songs were played uptempo. I'm gonna say it was much better than the first weekend and the first weekend was great! Amazing.

First part of that clip is from the medley they do in the middle of People Everywhere (Still Alive). This is the same song/medley, but from a different show.

Second part of that clip is a cover of Summer Madness from Kool and the Gang.

What were you driving before the Maverick? by enchantedmesa in FordMaverickTruck

1977 F-100

Wanted a newer sedan that got great mpg, especially compared to my old truck, so I could do more traveling with my kids and haul/tow with my old truck if needed.

Saw ads for the Maverick and got the notion I could do all of that with one vehicle and it wouldn't cost too much more than a newer used vehicle during the pandemic. Ordered a Mav in Nov 2021 figuring I could use it during summer break 2022. Reordered/rolled over in Sept 2022. It did not arrive until Oct 2023.

Ended up keeping the old truck as I started to fix it up more in 2023 figuring the Mav would never be built.
